Toyota, in a bid to celebrate selling 2.5 lakh Fortuner sales in India, the company has introduced the Fortuner Leader Edition, based on the 4X2 variant of the SUV. The new Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition gets a few add-on features and exterior upgrades.
The Fortuner Leader Edition is based on the standard 4X2 version and prices depend on the accessories chosen by the customer and expect the SUV to be priced slightly higher than the standard version. On the exterior, the Fortuner Leader edition gets new bumper spoilers, which are part of the SUV’s official accessory, black alloy wheels, and three dual-tone shades to choose from: Super white, Platinum Pearl white and Silver Metallic.
Inside, the SUV gets dual-tone seat covers, a tyre pressure monitor, auto-folding rearview mirrors, and a wireless charger, amongst other standard features depending on the trim.
Powering the new Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition is a 2.8-litre diesel engine that makes 201bhp. The torque the Fortuner Leader Edition makes varies depending on the gearbox. The manual version makes 420Nm, while the automatic gearbox version makes 500Nm of peak torque.
