4. The Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica

The Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica at Fort Kochi is one of the eight Basilicas in Kerala. Counted as one of the heritage edifices of Kerala, this church is one of the finest and most impressive churches.

Built by the Portuguese in 1505, it was elevated to a Cathedral by Pope Paul IV in 1558. It was used by the British in the 18th century and was destroyed in 1795. It was rebuilt in 1905 and was proclaimed a Basilica by Pope John Paul II in 1984.

5. Marine Drive

The crowd is now shifted to LULU mall. Earlier this place was crowded. There are private boat operators operating site-seeing boat service. We had 30 minutes site-seeing trip during our earlier trip.

6. Arthunkal Basilica

The church, officially Arthunkal St. Andrew's Forane Church, Arthunkal, Alappuzha district, Kerala, India was originally built by the Portuguese missionaries in the 16th century. It was rebuilt in 1584.

7. Alappuzha Beach

Alappuzha beach is one of the major tourist spot in Alappuzha town. Alappuzha lighthouse situated near to the beach. Beach is accessible through various town roads.

8. Light House Museum

The light house museum is located on the way to Beach. This is worth visiting.

The light house is a tall structure. A spiral ladder is available inside the tubular structure. The ladder is very narrow, only one person can use. To climb all the way up may be recommended only for fit people.

9. Manjanikkara Dayara

Manjanikkara Dayara is a monastery of the Syrian Orthodox Church. It is situated at the top of the hillock in Manjanikkara, near Omallur, Pathanamthitta District, in South Kerala, India. Wikipedia

Konni is very near to Pathanamthitta(10Km). This location is around 1km away from Konni town. Easy to locate and closed on Mondays. Two tiny ones were there. One was sleeping and the other was isolated from the visitors.
