You are right, but for such situations it is better if you retain the audio system and better get that installed in your other car or sell off separately, unless the buyer is asking for a reasonable price.

Have a doubt, If a person purchase a car through company lease policy and later sold it after completing his/her lease then on paper he/she is the second owner of the car. In that scenario whether someone is going to fetch less comparing to a say individually purchased car ?

Hope this might Help:

Check the date of manufacturing and the date of regestration properly.

For eg: The car has a manufacturing date of Dec and the car is regestered in Jan; then there is chances of getting less prices during the resale. The person who is buying the car will consider the manufacturing date.
This has happened with us twice. Our P150 was manufactured on dec2005 and the bike was brought and regestered on jan2006; when we wanted to sell the bike; the bike was considered as a 2005 model because of its manufacturing date and we got less price because of this. So guy hope you got my point![roll]
In such scenario , It is better to sell the good or fair condition vehicle to
1)a new car dealer in an exchange scheme as they are keen to get custemer for their new car, hence can offer good deal.
OR

2) a friend or a workmate who is more intrested in quality and condition and cool accsesories if any of the vehicle than mere dates on paper . Better to get it evaluated from a new car dealer before such deal . So that both buyer and seller get satisfaction from the deal.

One more important thing worth mentioning here is that we must get and conserve the copy of deal papers and no objection certificate signed by us about transfer of ownership so as to prove the fact that the car belongs to someone else after that deal if it is used/found in criminal activities later on.
