Whether this was the problem of losing the Turbo ? You dont have the extended warranty to claim this matter under the warranty ?

Had extended warranty, but was not being serviced by ASC as the quality of service was not great then.

Even now, it is not that great, but only because of this particular SA, who is a friend of a friend, got through without getting billed even more. Even the time, I was paying delivery, there was a customer yelling at the SA for a whopping 28k for routine service, with parts being changed without his consent.

The reason I stopped giving there was my cousin's car got similar issue just after a service and ended up paying from pocket some 30+k, for an under warranty car, ended up in fight, dragging them to court and car remained with them rotting in their yard. Got back the car after a year in terrible condition. Case is still going on.

This is fourth Beat I am coming across with the same engine/turbo failure.

My SA tried claiming warranty, but Chevy never responded as the car had a broken service history. He asked to wait some more for response, but instead chose to get it repaired as I didn't want the car to sit and rot for long. It sat idle for over a month, before being towed to ASC.

I am also from trivandrum . Whether you says about the deedi motors in trivandrum . I had a Beat Diesel LT(0) of 2014 model . I had seen lots of complaint about the engine problems of the beat .
Even if i seen before the delivery i will not purchase the vehicle , I know the service cost was on the higher side when we compared it with other manufactures .
In your case does the whole amount of 88 K for failure of the turbo of the vehicle that results to the replacement of the such parts you have quoted ? My odo is now at 41K .
My usual service costs around 6k till now .

Issues cropped up when car ran without oil for quite some time, which they claimed was caused by a hit in the sump, but there was no warning lights or anything about low oil pressure. Even with new oil and filters, it used to lock up at 2k rpm with service reminder indicator on. Initial diagnosis was a blown turbo and later damage to engine internals. Confirmed with other garages before getting it done.

And car finally stalled because of damage diesel pump, which no way can be related to the oil leak. Diesel filter was routinely replaced and fuel was always min 2 blocks to half tank and once in a month full tank.

With all these, I suspect these are generic issues with Chevy engineering.

Earlier I had brake issue, same issue I saw in another acquaintance's Beat.

The whole 88k was the result of maybe a malfunctioned oil pressure sensor :(

Of course, it was the same Deedi. Since it's their monopoly, we have to rely on them. Most spares are not available outside. Even third party workshop's scanning tools won't work with Chevy. I checked at 3 garages, all 3 showed error, but not exactly what. So did not take chance like I did with brake issue and blindly gave to Deedi.

Car is now smooth and running fine.
Experience was good this time as I went through a friend's friend SA. I even had a long TD after they reworked the car before taking delivery, may be some 10 km. He assisted with me even after his duty time. He tried in vain to claim warranty, but I knew Chevy wouldn't approve.
Could not check the sump as he had already re-set everything to make the car running temporarily and we used the car for some 2k km after that. He told to bring back once the car shows some symptoms.

Even I would'nt have suported buying one if I heard about earlier. As I said above, this is the 4th Beat diesel with similar issue. One is this. Second one is my cousin's fight is still going on. Third, one is colleagues BIL's, which had a seized engine and had to be towed all the way to Trivandrum from Thenmala. Fourth one was the most unfortunate, car caught fire from engine, but luckily got a new car instead without much negotiation and chose top-end Beat petrol instead of diesel. Car belonged to a colleague's acquaintance, more details unknown to me. Won't recommend Chevy cars to anyone anymore, but unfortunately made the friend who helped with the SA buy an used Beat diesel (That's how he found his friend was working as SA at Chevy )

Brake issue was brakes getting jammed and car getting stalled. Have to pump hard to get the brake released. A reputed outside garage couldn't find the root cause and instead replaced everything including rotor and last resort changed booster. Total damage close to 20k for the fault of a 6.5k booster. Was a generic problem and would have saved a lot if I had already been to Chevy, but even they could have taken me for a tour and made some money out of me saying this gone that gone.

You warranty claim was rejected only on the basis of reason that you do not do the proper schedule maintenance in you car . Or any other reason the warranty claim was rejected by the company . I recently purchased the Extended warranty since the some Beat shows some problems while i reading in the internet . If the service was proper whether this problem will take under warranty ?

Yes. But he (SA) only suggested and tried claiming warranty when I was sure it will be rejected.

If all service were done there, most of the parts would have been covered.

(Ironically, my cousin was charged when his car was under extended warranty and all scheduled services done there without fail, which led to the legal battle).

Almost whole car. Except Hood, top and bootlid. Dent pulling the running board costed a bit, else it would have been under 10k. Included painting all matt black panels like mirror , grille and rear bumper bottom bit and also 5 rims.

Before overhaul, it was 16-17 in city with 100% AC. Once been to Bangalore, with 100 % AC was around 25 and brought back by a driver, who claimed 30+ without AC.

I was really frightened also i checked the rear tyre if any thing stuck on that - nothing . Then i call the chervolet roadside assistance , and they record the complaint and call me after 15 mins from the Trivandrum office not the Dealer .

They says that the problem can be rectified , and they says hard hit the wheel with the spare wheel screw (jacky screw) and i hard hit the black portion behind the Alloy wheel and make the car some trick by pressing the handbrake and accelerator and finally it the rear wheel rotates they says it was the rear brake get jammed while vehicle was parked for a long time especially a week .

Whether do you occur any problem like this ?

Beat got generic problem of rear brake cylinder getting jammed. Had this issue in our Beat as well as 2 friends'.
