Interior looks are great & waiting for its launch

this is more spacious than the Aria. infact even the nano's rear seat is more spacious than the Aria middle row!
But dont compare bench in park to recliners in your lounge and this doesn't mean that Aria has got recliners [thumbsup]

From the last image, it looks that the spare wheel is placed under the third row seating?

Yes i too guess the same , else it might be difficult to remove the spare wheel from underneath as the GC wont be as good as an SUV.

I dont find the pricing of Venture too steep. It comes with a diesel heart which is loved by the taxi operators and definitely for them, Venture will prove to be a worthy alternative to other commercial vans.

@350Z- The interiors look really pleasing. Excellent shot. I believe that pic was clicked at the Autoexpo last year.

Looking at what Tata Motors is offering in the Venture, the pricing is not really that bad. Of course we cannot expect a complete good-looking van’s pricing to target a bare tin-box on wheels like Omni but the bad part is that it should have also been released in Metro-cities too, because I am sure that if Venture is actually capable of what it is designed for, the number of buyers will not be only limited to commercial segment.

PS: Yes, that picture is from 2010 Auto Expo.

Tata Motors have now launched the Venture BS-3 in certain areas of Maharashtra @ Rs. 4 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh, ex-showroom Kalyan (Thane district), BS III. Pictures and Press Release below.

Mumbai, January 25, 2011: Tata Motors today announced the launch of Tata Venture in Maharashtra. The Tata Venture is a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) with the footprint and maneuverability of a hatchback car, but the interior space of a utility vehicle. The less than 4 metre long Tata Venture can comfortably accommodate eight passengers in three front facing rows and has ample luggage space. A glasshouse effect with plug-in windows for second row passengers contributes to the distinctive exterior design while the contemporary interiors sport a two-tone beige and black theme. Comfort and convenience of both driver and passengers have been adequately addressed with dual HVAC, power steering, power windows, reverse parking aid, keyless entry with engine immobilizer and rear wipers.

A semi monocoque construction provides the required rigidity while the robust shell has energy absorbing crumple zones built in. A collapsible steering and side impact beams protect occupants in an exigency. The Tata Venture meets crash safety norms applicable in the domestic market. The Tata Venture is powered by a 1.4 litre turbo diesel engine, delivering 71 PS power, with best in class fuel efficiency among diesel MPVs in the country. The mileage as certified by ARAI is 15.42 kmpl. Looks to be a very nice MPV, first Diesel Van body structure in our market i suppose. The vehicle is surely to be doing good numbers in highway driving usage. For city i feel people would stick to cars. Up country market may look at this vehicle for daily commuting along with their commercial usage.

Good luck TATA Motors !!!

@ 350Z I meant to say can it be used for the same purpose the Indica is used? Though costlier than the Indica , this looks more up-market and can transport 8 people too!

I saw the Venture today doing test rounds ('On-Test' written on it [;)]) on Pune-Bangalore highway. It looks much taller on road than in the pics. I hope TATA Engineers have worked on CG of this van. It really looks up-market & better than EECO & Omni.

I saw a golden colour Venture parked in front of the Tata’s Commercial Vehicles Showroom. This van looks pleasing enough to the eyes.

It could be a suitable substitute for some cab operators, but overall let’s compare Apples to the Apples.

Are they still testing around with the Venture?
