Enquired about the ORVM chrome cover at Vellore. It costs around Rs.200 for a pair. forgot to ask about Handles[:D].

30000 kms in 1 year and two months is a lot of driving Appu.

Security system.(It is possible to install Security system with OEM configuration?)

Have you got it installed from outside or from TASS what does it costs??? And does it effect or void the warranty of electrical loom and can it be made compatible with the remote fitted in the key?? I am also planning to install the security system

Yes, we can install the security with the SAME OEM configuration.

I have installed in on a local car Accessories shop at Vellore. It is just a small kit which is connected to some OEM locking system inside the car. we not need to modify the OEM KEY.

Regarding warranty, I feel whatever we do with OEM settings will void warranty. So far everything is working fine. If any problem arise, I'll remove the kit & will ask TASS to check[:)]


Only few shops having that kit. Even I've enquired almost all the shops in Chennai, but none of the shops ready to do it with OEM configuration. finally found one shop & he is ready to do with OEM config. Later I came to know that his cousin running the accessorizes shop at Vellore in the same name. So I installed in Vellore itself.

Even our forum Member Highway Ranger also installed the same security system from where I installed at Vellore.

Recently I came to know that that this kit is available at tata showroom . I went to TASS for booking my vista's second service. I enquired at the acc. Counter the guy sitting their told me dat its been long this kit is available planning to install it very soon.

That is the great news, If it is available in TASS, then we can install without any doubt.

What is the warranty period ?

Appu have you noticed one thing in your new front bumper that there is a provision of installing chrome strip near fog lamps same as that of the club class manza??? here is a pic it will make it more clear[:)]

Problem is these chrome ornaments are not available aftermarket.
The fog lamp chrome covers cost 800/pair (Elan model).

Not sure how much this integrated garnish will cost.
