Tata Motors' managing director Slym died in Bangkok

Tata Motors’ Managing Director Karl Slym died on Sunday in Bangkok after a fall from a hotel’s 22nd floor in Yannawa district.
He was visiting Bangkok to attend a meeting of the Board of Directors of Tata Motors Thailand Ltd.
"The company shares the grief of Karl Slym’s wife and family at their irreparable loss," Tata Motors said in a statement.
The company’s spokesman said Slym seemed to have fallen from a higher floor of a hotel in Bangkok. Expressing condolence at the sudden demise of Slym, Tata Motors Chairman Cyrus P Mistry said: "I am deeply saddened to inform you about the untimely and tragic demise of our company’s Managing Director, Karl Slym."
Yannawa police was alerted at 7.45am that a foreigner fell from the 22nd to the fourth floor of a hotel in Sathorn area.
Initial police investigation showed that he checked into the hotel with his wife on January 24 and was scheduled to check out today.
It was reported that police found a suicide note in this room. His wife was still in shock.
