Tata Curvv Petrol & Diesel Launched

After months of waiting, the Tata Curvv has been launched with prices starting from Rs 10 lakh (introductory ex-showroom pan-India). Tata is offering the SUV-coupe in four broad trims: Smart, Pure, Creative, and Accomplished. The top three trims further branch out to more sub-variants. Bookings of this SUV-coupe are now open, and the deliveries will begin on September 12, 2024.

The Tata Curvv is a stylish SUV-coupe offering positioned in the compact SUV space. It has a sloping roofline to go with its coupe nature and slots between the Nexon and Harrier in Tata’s SUV lineup. Its exterior highlights include all-LED lighting, a Harrier-like grille, and 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels

Its cabin has a lot of similarities with that of the Nexon, including dual digital displays, the same centre console, and the drive selector as well. However, the four-spoke steering wheel has been taken from the Harrier and Safari. In terms of amenities, it gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, a powered tailgate with gesture control and a panoramic sunroof.

Passenger safety is taken care of by six airbags ( as standard), a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and Level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Tata Curvv automatic price range revealed

After revealing the prices for the Curvv MT variants earlier this week, Tata Motors has now finally released the automatic variants’ prices, which range from Rs 12.5 lakh to Rs 19 lakh for the Curvv petrol DCT and Rs 14 lakh to Rs 19 lakh for the diesel versions. All these prices are introductory.

Based on the new ATLAS platform, the Curvv gets three engine options: a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol mill that makes 120hp and 170Nm, a 118hp, 1.5-litre diesel unit, and Tata’s new 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol ‘Hyperion’ engine with 125hp and 225Nm of output. All three engines are available with a 6-speed manual as standard, along with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic option, making it the only mass-market diesel car in India to offer a dual-clutch auto.

New Tata Curvv variants in the works; launch timeline revealed

It’s been barely three months since Tata Motors launched the Curvv coupe SUV and the carmaker is already working on an update for the car. We have learned that the company is scheduled to introduce new variants in the model range by the end of the year.

According to official details, the Curvv is set to receive up to four new variants in December 2024. While the finer details of the same remain unknown at the moment, Tata is likely to bring along CNG or Dark Edition versions for the Curvv. These could be offered across both, EV and ICE derivatives.

The Curvv EV is currently offered in a total of 7 versions, while the ICE derivative is available in 34 versions. This range will be further diversified in the coming months. In 2025, the EV vertical will be extended with the launch of the Harrier and the Sierra.
