Goa would be ideal for me (as I live in Goa). However driving to Mangalore is not a problem for me.

Oh !! Peter you stay in Madgoan !! I always used to stay at Madgoan instead most of the tourists stay in Panjim. It was a central place for me to go to bicholim, ponda, varna industrial aras !! I used to stay at Goa Woodlands hotel near bustand which was a very good one !! and I used to go around in the market area and go to Colva(my favorite beach) I do not know the reason as Goa got some beautiful beaches than this. It was pleasant with less tourists. Ofcouse I do not know swimming and fear of water[cry]. You made me all my memories fresh man !!

Manglore doesnt have much attraction it seems
Port
Light house
A mangala devi temple
And nothing more than that i think

Udupi krishnar temple would be 60 km away from manglore and kollur would be some 120 kms from there.
Sir i see a small slow movement in this thread [cry]

sir i said before itself wayanad would be a good destination.
some what traffic free.
spotting wild animals is easy when we move in a road you can find some deer, sambar and even elephants, peacock which i have seen in my trip.
But all the places are distant from one.
sure being petrolheads sure you will enjoy driving there.
SLR camera have more work there.

but it will be distant from mumbai sir[roll]

Re: South Meets West - Inter Region Meet

Chembara peak is a good destination and was in my itinerary list for long time. But the trekking to heart shaped lake is difficult for weak persons. It is 4-6 hrs trekking. You need to take permission for trekking too, if I remember correctly.

If you are bringing family member, please decide if they can trek long and ready for the challenge.

oops.. that is huge task. I think most of us might plan with family. in that case am sure half of the family members may not be able to enjoy what we enjoy.

Ha Ha, You are really fun man.

I have some practical problem with PMing members especially for this south-west meet. I had sent a PM to mods and waiting for their reply.

Just give me some time.

I will make sure, everyone is our thread all 24 hours till we see [Action starts from .. page] in the title.. [:D]
