How about the touch screen of n8?There n8 loses.nokia's touch screen's are not good
Earlier touch phones from Nokia used resistive touch screens, which works better with a stylus. Current models use capacitive touch screens which are just as good or as bad as any phones around with iphone being an exception. And it has nothing to do with OS.

Talking about OS, only iOS is the complete OS around and others are just trying to catch up. This includes Android, Windows 7 or any other.

I have not seen an Android hanging, to be honest. And my Nokia takes ages to respond to a request, if more than 3 apps are open. In the Android, there is no problems even if 15 apps are running at the same time, which usually does in an Android.

In the Android, you get a lot of customization options. Even instantaneous data like your CPU, processor speed, clock speed (for the techies) to know how their OS is performing and even what is eating your battery & how (for the non-techies). This is just an example. Using an Android feels classy & fun compared to the boring Symbian.

If I would have 25000 rs i would definitely go for Android.. (Samsung galaxy SII .. though I owe one too) as its the best Phone available in the android market. Android gives you a rich experience which Apple OS gives u but in a very affordable price. The customization and power to tweak android is immense even more than Apple OS. Symbian OS was left behind by android way back when Nokia refused to use Android on its smart phones and lost the battle to Samsung.

Android is very fast (though it should have a RAM of minimum 512 mb or more) and never hangs.. like symbian which takes ages to open things even in a 30000 worth phone. The latest phone nokia pure view 808 boasting 41 mp camera is not at all compared to a 8mp camera of samsung. 41 mp just clicks bigger size pictures which need a lot of space too but if you go to a photo store to get the pictures printed they will be hazy (on enlargement) and not at all clear. The symbian belle is also similar to the earlier ones and on top of that the new icons are more childish types trying to cope up with the market.

Android has lakhs of apps which are very useful too, but symbian apps are not all useful and range only thousands.

For me anytime Android...

AFAIK, iOS doesn't offer multi-tasking while Android is all about multi-tasking. How will it "catch up"? By taking $100 for any app in market or by eliminating the open-source thing? [roll]

I think OS is just a personal preference, there's no point fighting over it.

Android hangs more than anything.

I hate people who think a 41 MP camera can get better pics than a 8MP camera. Its like thinking you're a professional photographer when you own a dslr.

EDIT: Sorry for double post.

Its surprising people are saying Android hangs more than Symbian!

I am using two phones - Nokia and Sony, one is a Symbian and the other is an Android. And in my case atleast, the Symbian hangs but I have not experienced such issues with the Android.

Yes, the Android can get slow sometimes, especially with many heavy apps open. Those who are saying Android hangs, please make sure it was a decent spec Android and not one from Micromax or Karrbonn. They are just pseudo androids...

I dont mean to offend you in any way, but according to me, Optimus One is an average Android phone -

The internal memory is just 170 MB, means it will run out of memory very soon. Android needs quite a large internal memory because of the various apps.

The RAM again is 512 MB which I would say is decent but 1 GB is what I feel is required.

The CPU is 600 MHZ... again, good phones have a 1 GHz processor.

All in all, if you want to buy a good Android phone, be ready to spend above 15k.

This is purely my personal opinion. If I need to buy a phone below 15k, I wont prefer an Android. I would buy a Symbian or Bada.

I know it already [:)]

Transfer apps to SD Card.

Agreed.

Can be overclocked till 750MHz. [;)]

LG Optimus One has more custom ROMs than any other sub-10k phone. Well this may have changed now, but it was one of the best phones earlier. You can run ICS smoothly on this 2 year old phone!
