More Spy Shots!

The 2010 Suzuki Swift has been a constant source of interest for us since the first set of spy shots emerged. Caught testing here again, we can confirm one thing – the pull back headlamps extend till the top of the wheel arches quite like the design procedure Tata adopted on the new generation Indica Vista.

The body structure of the 2010 Suzuki Swift is said to have been modified to open up extra interior room. There could also be battery pack accommodation behind the move given the Swift’s moderate boot volume. The outline of the car from the side and rear view don’t reveal anything suspicious. Suzuki is staying with the current body style.

The new 1.2-liter K-Series engine is expected to do perform duty under the 2010 Swift’s bonnet while the diesel lover enjoys the services of Fiat’s 1,300cc Multi-jet engine. Overseas, a host of engines including a new 1.5-liter CRDI engine from Fiat is rumored. There’s also the hybrid powertrain and the CVT option for the American and Japanese customer.

The headlight and tailgate design looks to be changed a lot and looking better. Swift is a great car and it needs some refreshment.

The headlamps design looks to be cool! 1.5L CRDI will be a killer in Swift , the current 1.2 and 1.3L engines itself are great performers.

I don't think so. This model hasn't yet made the international debut so chances are almost Nil that it will be at display on expo which is just after few days.

New Suzuki Swift for UK

These are the first spy pictures of the all-new Suzuki Swift, which will arrive in the UK in the second half of 2010.

Sources within the company describe the new car as “a design evolution of the current model. It looks more grown up, but will have the same sort of appeal."

The hatchback is the biggest-selling model in Suzuki’s line-up, accounting for over 54,000 sales in the UK since the car was launched in 2005, and the company makes no secret of how vital the new model is.

It will ride on a completely new platform, and will feature a range of small petrol engines that will utilize advanced variable-valve technology and possibly turbo charging to improve economy and performance.

There are no details regarding the diesel engines available, but with Volkswagen’s recently acquired 20 per cent stake in Suzuki there is speculation that the German maker could provide the diesel tech in the new Swift. Expect prices to remain as competitive as earlier.

I guess we could be seeing it in 2011 ... perfectly in line with a 3 year change plan that MSIL seems to be following!!

A rendering image of new swift's rear, It's looking awful. Seeing the spy shots posted above, I hope it'll be slightly better than this.

The rendering is done by some artist, who is not exactly in the know.
So let us not write off the design yet!!

Yeahh, but all the recent launches by Maruti-Suzuki - A-Start and Ritz - is flopped on its design. They are good cars, but not selling as much as Maruti would like to see.

Suzuki is messing up a lot with the design.

And now if this is launched, its really tough for Maruti being no.1 in India.

Already Hyundai is leading the world in a big way.

I would say that the Hyundai guys still have a long way to go ... let them put Tata behind them first!!
