Suggestions For a Cheap Sub-Woofer

Failed to find C4C.

Done following things. Total cost 24000 INR. (Kindly maintain this secret, I don't want my wife to know the cost).

1)Infinity by harman, - front component speakers REF - 6500 cx.
2)Boston Acoustics- 4 ch amplifier (max output 350 Watt × 2 , at 4 ohm, ) PRO - A 804
3) jbl GTX 1150 T basstube.
4) converter kits - 2
5) bassfx wire kit
6) connect 4 gauze wire.

Total installation time-7 hrs.

Result - Satisfactory improvement in Bass in most of my favorite sound.
Pleasent high frequency musical notes on tweeter despite the settings maintained with baas at high end and treble and mid at low end.
However few songs such as 'Chhaya Chhaya' song from Dil Se movie, drum sounds irritating. The guy told me to listen all my favourite songs and then bring the car back to get the settings improved.


Family members were fully satisfied, especially my children preferred to sit on rear seat to experience the bass which can be felt and heard better on rear seat. Otherwise they use to be adamant for sitting on front seat.

Few surprises-
Manza OE, Blaupunkt HU is single DIN though it looks 2 DIN from outside.
Front door speaker is 18 watt and the tweeter is 15 watt.

I am sorry, I don't know if all these can be done at a very low budget of 10,000. Damping doors are very costly.

Better do the amplifier and subwoofer installation. Listen to the setup and if you feel their is excessive rattling then go ahead and do the damping. But unless you intend to install good component speakers in front and coaxial speakers in rear doors you won't need to do damping.

Pioneer 1 DIN HU with 2 RCA preouts-currently these are not in use

Front focal components (rattling sound comes upon increase in volume of bass music)

Rear JBL coaxial.

Since your budget is low, go for a 4 channel amplifier and a subwoofer. Wire the first two channels to front components and rear channels bridged to subwoofer.

Dear After installation, Don't you feel any rattling from doors while keeping volume on high. Have your car doors damped with dynamat sheets / other

Currently 4 doors damped. Next month will be damping the whole car.. In your case you won't need such excessive damping with the mentioned products.

One more thing to clear. Suppose if I don't want to go online for buying these and also same brand is not available by market dealer , what other brand in same range I can go for. Also how is like using used amps that dealer always try to sell.

I am sure they will be available in Chandigarh. Another alternative for amplifier is JBL GT-646. But it costly at 7k.
