Speciality of the i-Vtec engines are they rev RED LINE in each gear!

Does your city clocks the rev meter or it goes upto one extent?

I never rev my engine too hard mate. Just want her to slide smooth till the next service. Will try it and let you know once it is done.

Sure buddy. I will check out if i get a place to drive to test the performance. I have not clocked more than 5K RPM in the tachometer. The vehicle is pretty new and has gone just 5-6K KMs.

its okay to do once in a while . I test my car every now and then too :) my one does 7500RPM max (on 7psi turbo boost). Max it can go is 9000 on clock but for that we need to change the lifters

Wooooohoooo...9K RPM. Man, thats too much IMO .
Since you are a performance enthusiast, no doubt that you will love doing it.

actually the newer engines with iVtec have the VTEC technology for economy. older hondas dont have the "i". those were for performance.

do a custom engine swap you can get a nice Type R engine outa civic or integra

we are not driving underpowered ambassador or such cars to be worried about run in period , as in old times car needed to rev high to climb slopes and tough roads .

Agreed buddy! I felt the difference off-lately. I did not stress the engine much. Was revving a max of 3K RPM and took adequate breaks during the trip.

Right side scratched

Just got a shocking news that my car's right side was scratched yesterday night at my hometown by a moron driving a indica/ some taxi when my dad was driving slowly (30-40 KMPH). My dad was in a shocked state rather than chasing him .

Eitherways, my car was due for the 3rd service today. So, they have checked the damage and it requires insurance to clean the mess up. Right side front door, right side rear door and right side rear fender having a straight line like a line drawn by a white chalkpiece .

SE told that he will be sending a photo ASAP so that i can assess the damage. The job will require 3-4 days. But, i would be requiring my car this week. So, told them to postpone the paint job.
Wonder how reckless people drive in night during traffic.

My heart bleeds after seeing these photos!!!

NOTE: The thick scratch in the front door was the very old one. Also, folks can see the new sun film which was installed.
