Since the time it came to Indian market Skoda has carried a mysterious charm towards it, be it the aggressive stance, awesome handling or road presence. I am sure this will suit like none other. Better than a Honda or a Hyundai (no offence to anyone)!

Hey Vipul. just a suggestion if you are going for the superb, why not check out the new passat. I looks a lot better and is loaded with features.

Yes even i wanted to ask you , what is the reason for leaving out Passat? It has more power , more features and pretty new to the market too. I see less number of new Passat on road so the exclusivity is there. Superb "may" get a facelift this or next year.
@ Thetraveller Hyundai doesn't have a car targeting the Superb and Accord i feel it's not worth the price tag!

Guys,have done many TDs and checked many cars,but superb suited us best.

Well guys,there is a sudden twist in the story..
We were about to buy the car but then situations turned out to be against us and then to add to the worst came our family 'pandat'(not pandit)and I hope you people won't feel bad if I say "There are chances that the booking will be cancelled today and some other car will be bought within a week or two".
I am feeling really sorry for this,but right now nothing is in my hand.
Will be updating about the new buy as soon as possible.

Whichever car/SUV you choose please keep us updated.
BTW Vipul I always thought that since you need all terrain vehicle so an SUV or X-over will suit you best !!

To be very honest no other vehicle fulfils your requirement like the X-over.Waiting for updates and hope Pandat ji gives you the go this time around.

Oh,how I forgot about this thread,okay so its time for the update:-
First of all about Superb:Booking is not cancelled,only the car will be taken by a uncle of mine instead of us.
Why?Simple it is,first of all we don't have enough cash in spare to buy such a car and then pandat intruded saying "don't buy a car with name starting with 'sa'(or say 's' or 'c')"so in this category came the cars-Superb,City,Civic,Safari,Scorpio etc etc.
and at last,I myself is responsible for this cancellation,its a long story and totally
,but still presenting a small part of it:-
On 17th February,we came to know about a new project(real estate)in Manesar(near Gurgaon) on NH8 and had some sources through which we could book 3 high returning flats(that is a good spot to invest some cash for growth).Now we had two choices,either buy a car for the money or add some more and book all three of them.So again came in action dining table:-
I:So dad,what say?
He:Nothing,we will get the car.Rest is upon you.
I(after thinking for a while):Are you uncomfy with Corolla or Laura?
He:Don't kill your wishes..
I(angrily):Yes or no.
He:I am happy with them.
I:Then we are going to the site tomorrow,will buy anything some time later.
He:I knew you will say the same thing..
And after this conversation,we decided to cancel the booking but then suddenly came to know about an uncle in Gurgaon who wanted to book a Superb itself,so we told him about the booking and he wants to get the car delivered to him."By this way we saved the commission of SE and have cancelled car for us too"..
Since now a days I am quite less active on the forum due to busy schedule,but will still complete this thread with new choices and pending TD reports etc.Dear Xovy,will highlight the reasons for rejecting Aria too in upcoming parts of the thread.
At last,you can still expect me to come up with a new car before July.

After a long wait I am again back with the same query,this time there are some minor changes too,which are as follows:-
Budget:-0-24lac(No stretching possible at all,its already a wide range).
Car type:-We already have two sedans,so this time the priority goes this way:-
Compact SUVs.
Full size SUVs.
A good competent sedan or even a good hatch if we feel it good for us with good comfort.
Monthly running:Not more than 1500-2000 kms at most.Why?Because this car will be bought for being an emergency car.Or say when our both the cars are out for some reason then this car can be used for minor works.
Fuel type:Preferably diesel,but petrol also will do.
Basic priorities:-
1):Ease of ownership.
2):Rear seat comfort(For father).
3):If driving pleasure is also availed then it will be icing on the cake(for me).
4):Flexibility.
5):Low maintenance and reliable.
6):The car must be able to take abuse too.
7):Good A.S.S.
When we will be buying the car?
Simple three word answer:-
I don't know!!Whenever we find any car best suited to us,we will buy it same day.
Still can go upto September-October.
