Skoda Octavia Variants?

skoda octavia 1.8 had two variants - one was the fully loaded vRS which had the spoiler, skirts, firmer suspension, firmer seats, etc. & the other was the 1.8 Rider which was the normal octavia with the 1.8 Turbo engine & hence was cheaper than the vRS.
Yes. Octavia used to have a 1.8 TPi (Petrol) sharing similar performance figures as of vRS. Major difference was in additional features that made vRS distinguish from rest of the crowd. Skoda Octavia 1.8 Rider was priced at around 12 Lakh while vRS was available for 14.5 Lakh (On-Road).

VRS had Stiffer suspension, Low weight seats and 16 Inchers.

im not getting what is ambient ,rider,1.9 ,1.8 im little bit confused about that i need the diesel versions in octavia what the company is released in india till now..from the starting that is 2002 or 2003 to till now i dont want the new upcoming octavia 2013...
