Skoda Fabia Facelift - Comes To India

@Amaan, Earlier there were rumors of Skoda Fabia RS coming to India, Look at this thread : http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/indian-auto-scene/647-skoda-fabia-rs-coming-india.html

Nevertheless, Even though if RS version comes to India or not, It seems that Skoda will at least give a minor face-lift to Fabia to re-generate the buzz, which is, of late, being overshadowed by so many other new hatchbacks in market.

After this spyshot by Velocity Mag, Finally it has been now confirmed that Skoda Auto is soon going to launch the facelifted version of Fabia in India. Question is whether it will debut before or after the Yeti?

Skoda Auto has its own strategies like any other carmaker. Launching the face lifted Fabia quietly without any hype will do no benefit for Fabia’s sales.

Skoda didn't upgraded the current Fabia and the reason was this. Also, it is said that new Fabia will have the 1.2 Liter engine picked up from Polo.

The Skoda Fabia diesel has 3 Cylinders where as Petrol counterpart comes with a 4 Cylinder heart currently.

The Fabia 1.4 Petrol is not Bharat Stage 4.The diesel is.
The facelift sure is minor & it is expected around Diwali this year.
Prices need to brought down to make this car sell.
I think Skoda will do that.
I am pretty sure.
This means both the cousins (read Polo & Fabia) will now be priced identically.
Would be interesting to see the result of that!!

Skoda will have to compete with their own sister company. As per the looks comparison with Volkswagen Polo, Fabia can not remain stand still for any longer.

The new Fabia should be coming before the Yeti. If I'm not wrong, the Yeti will be on sale by late 2010. The new Fabia is already under production and will be launched pretty soon, say a month or two. The BS-IV compliant engine is plonked into this one. I prefer the old Fabia though!

yeti will come latest by sep. so new faboa should come out by aug or so. and why do you like old fabia? differences are not much in looks or because of engine?
