Good news: Skoda will bring the Octavia vRS back to India. Launch is rumored to be happening next month. But what's more exciting is that this time it will stand true to its name with a 2.0L 220 BHP motor under the hood that can produce 250 Nm of torque. 0 – 100 Kmph in a jaw-dropping 6.8 seconds and top speed of 246 Kmph!

That 0-100 figure sounds mad and so does the top whack. I guess they will again go the Laura way by saying that 2.0 is coming while the engine was 1.8 at the end.
Rest, if this thing comes for anything less than 25 lac, then this must be the fastest thing on four wheels one can buy under 50 lac at half the price.

Skoda octavia now available with LED tail lights
Skoda silently launched the new gen Octavia with LED tail lamps for all variants and also touch screen music system. Earlier only the mid vaiant had touch screen music system. Now the basic variant also comes with the touchscreen 2Din player. Basic variant has one CD option where as other variant has 6 CD changer. The price is also increased. The higher end diesel DSG costs 24.57L otr n TN. I got a pick from my dealer. Couldn't upload through mobile

Skoda has discontinued Base Active version as it is nowhere to be seen on Skoda India's Website. The demand for the Active was very low and hence Skoda made right decision to phase it out. In fact, Active versions in all Skoda Cars have been least popular.

Thats true. I just went to the BMW website to check if they sold the 335i, but they dont. So this has that honour comfortably in the bag.
Can you imagine how much this would put out with another 20 lakhs plonked into it.

Hmm I can say one thing that if you want to compare with corolla...then its pricey for sure Any day corolla is a corolla

Got the price list from skoda dealer at moti nagar.
I love this car. And just keep looking if it passes by.

My Birdie confirmed me that SKODA will be launching its Octavia RS in September/October 2016.
New Octavia RS will be launched only with Petrol Option. It will be the 2.0 TSI with 230 bhp with 7 Speed DSG.
AWD version is not decided yet.
Diesel RS will prove expensive hence it was not evaluated.
Styling Difference will include Body Kit, Spoilers, Smoked Headlamps, Black Interiors with Sports Seats.
Will also get RS Exclusive Body Colors like (Race Blue/Yellow/Milano Red).
Pricing is expected to be around 25-28 lakhs.

Normal Octavia also has Race Blue. They should have sportier suspension as well.
