Should Renault launch the Kangoo in India?

The Kangoo and Kangoo Express was/is available with a choice of multiple engines:
1.0 litre D-series petrol, 59 bhp (44 kW; 60 PS) (8v) / 68 bhp (51 kW; 69 PS) (16v)
1.2 litre D-series petrol, 60 bhp (45 kW; 61 PS) (8v) / 75 bhp (56 kW; 76 PS) (16v)
1.4 litre 8v Energy petrol, 75 bhp (56 kW; 76 PS)
1.6 litre 16v K-series petrol, 95 bhp (71 kW; 96 PS)
1.5 litre dCi turbodiesel, 57/65/68/70/82/85/88/105 bhp
1.9 litre F-series D diesel, 55 bhp (41 kW; 56 PS)/65 bhp (48 kW; 66 PS) (normally aspirated, indirect injection)
1.9 litre F-series dTi turbodiesel, 80 bhp (60 kW; 81 PS) (direct injection)
1.9 litre F-series dCi turbodiesel, 80 bhp (60 kW; 81 PS)/85 bhp (63 kW; 86 PS)

I would say yes , they can launch it as an hatchback here and price it around 3-5Lakh.


BTW what's with all the Renault updates today buddy.

Nothing much.
Was just visiting the Renault site. Wonderfully planned site, though.
There they have a sub-heading saying global Renault(or something of the sort).
In that there were all the global renault cars.
I have always been a fan of Kangoo. :stupid:

So thats the philosophy behind my thread.

Looks practical but who will buy this over a normal hatchback? Maybe better suited for commercial-types. It’ll be nice if Renault can release the Logan MCV instead, which offers far better scope of utility and can be an affordable substitute to MUVs like Toyota Innova.
