No, they didnt informed me that it is a 4 month old car during payment. Even i didnt asked them about that as i was not aware of such things. However based on our TAI members suggestion i did PDI before registration in which the car found in order. Yes regarding accessories they did offer me seat covers, rear parking sensors, floor matts, mud flaps and side black beams as freebies.
Oh, the list of freebies looks fine. Now enjoy the drive. You have got a good deal.

Vehicle, batterry, tyres all manufactured less than 6 months back is not at all a problem.
Check tyres and battery manufacturing date if more than 6months old, demand replacement.
Registration with RTO is not possible unless car is physically present with the dealer by [rules]

Non-alloy spare wheel is a common cost cutting practice by automakers.

Thanks for your inputs. How can i check the manufacturing date of battery and tyres? Will it be mentioned on them directly or with some codes? Please guide.

When i went for PDI i took photos of tyres and battery, but i m not able to post them as the size is more than 1MB. Is there any other way to post them?

Re: Should PDI be done before / after registration?

I have just googled and found the method of checking manufacturing week and year of a tyre. As per that it looks 3 of my tyres are manufactured in 8th and 10th week of 2013. That means it is already more than 7 months as on date. But on spare tyre it is mentioned as 17th week which i think is ok. What should i do now? Shall i demand for new tyres from dealer? Will he not object as i have already done PDI before registration and could not trace these out then? As I m going to take delivery on 06th of this month, shall i object before taking delivery or shall i tell him before that?

Please dont think otherwise as i m asking so many questions. This is my first car and i m not that good when it comes to purchasing something new.

that means the tyres have faced a full summer and a full monsoon in the stock yard under the sun without any movement and use as evident from the location of the rust pointed out by you. . This makes tyres hard. The hardness leads to bumpy or hard ride. Also they are prone for cracks earlier than newly manufactured tyres.
Shall i demand for new tyres from dealer?
He is less likely to oblige now if RTO registration is done already. Better demand discount @1k per tyre. And then exchange tires (you are likely to get decent exchange value for the stock tyres if you do it on the delivery date itself) with newly manufactured tires of better brands such as Michelin, Bridgestone at outside dealers.

Will he not object as i have already done PDI before registration and could not trace these out then?
Yes, he will.

Tomorrow morning, talk with the administrator of the dealer. Do not talk with SE as he is less likely to cooperate due to fear of loosing the incentives due to discount conceded or cancellation of the car purchase .
Pretend as if there is change of mind. Tell the administrator that you want to go for some other costlier car from Ford eg. New Fiesta, Endeavour.(don't talk of the Ecosport). Ask him and find out if your car is registered on your name with RTO or still in the process. If registration is still not done, then you will get a good bargaining power.
If registration is done already then still you can tell them that you won't take delivery till tyre and battery issue is solved .And talk with fords directly.

Battery warranty begins from date of manufacturing AFAIK new car is concerned. For pvt . individual buyers it begins on date of purchase of the battery. Unused battery for more than Six months is likely to die sooner than expected.

Please dont think otherwise as i m asking so many questions. This is my first car and i m not that good when it comes to purchasing something new.
