how reliable such conversion could be against the stock 4wd vehicles. afaik front wheel alignments are extremely complex .

A mechanic told me that they are doing 4wd to 2wd conversion as well as 2wd to 4wd conversions without any problems.

for restoration of a jeep how much can i expect it could be done
considering lot of play in steering and gears.
most probably gear wheels might have worn by 20 percent due to abuse.
engine may need rebuild or may require whole new makeover.

to what extend these kind of jobs can be carreid out , is all kind spare parts available locally ?

is it worth buying a jeep run as taxi and to be used for private commute ?

Once i got a quote for this vehicle (that was a army disposal MM 550 from Mayapuri the vehicle itself he quoted 1.20 + all accessories) and the quote was nearly 4 lakhs excluding winch, tyres and alloy (i said winch, tyre and alloy i can supply from here)
I was about to start that project but because of some other reason -----still its pending
And the winch it is Easley available here in uae a good winch will coast nearly 4000 Dhs ---48000 INR

Its called Snorkel------A snorkel is quite simply a raised air intake system and allows the vehicle to be completely submerged as long as the main intake is free of water. A snorkel is highly recommended if you intend to travel in the outback. Beside creek and river crossings, heavy rains or flooding can be a constant threat and roads could become underwater in considerably short periods of time.
Snorkels can protect the engine from dust because air that is drawn from the roof level does not have as much dust content as in the air lower to the ground. This results in a cooler and cleaner air intake, which will also prolong the life of the air filtration system.

what kind of differentials does mahindra comes with?is it good enough or i may need to upgrade to something better?

and how can i tweak the suspensions for softer ride .

it is said ARB Old Man Emu Suspension can make ride comfortable as well as improve speed control atleast that's answer i got when i enquired about making gypsy ride bit comfortable

well i haven't even considered my ride yet but i a feel i am getting closer and closer.. :P
