Hello All,

Route Taken : Pune - Kolhapur - Nippani - Uttur - Ajara - Amboli - Sawantwadi - Banda - Goa
Route Update : Pune to Nippani is as usual good. Due to bridge demolition near Karad there is traffic jam (bottleneck caused due to city traffic + highway traffic) which lasted for 10-15 mins. From Nippani to Uttur till 5Kms before Ajara the road is good. From Ajara till Amboli village there are many rough patches and diversion due to road widening work. Amboli ghat onwards road is in pristine condition. NH66 is now very good option if someone wants to reach south goa (I driven till Madgaon) as most of the bridges and flyovers are operational. The only traffic filled single lane patch is while crossing Porvorim. For NH66, the speed limit in MH section is 80kmph where as in Goa it is 70Kmph
Route Take: Goa - Satarda - Shiroda - Vengurla - Shiroda - Goa
Route Update: Goa to MH border near Satarda bridge the roads are good. After satarda the roads are bit patchy and winding hence need to be alert for on coming traffic. Few small villages and market areas on the way where road is narrow and filled with local two wheeler traffic.
Route Taken : Goa - Banda - Kudal - Malvan
Route Update : NH66 between Goa and Kudal is mind blowing. There are big set of 3 speed breakers without marking near Banda exit. From Kasal to Malvan the road is fine and passes through small villages. Lot of tipper trucks on this route hence need to keep looking for opportunity to overtake them. It is marriage season in these areas hence expect some traffic jam inside villages and lot of four wheelers parked beside road which makes already narrow road more narrower.
Note : The temperature is high in entire coastal zone but somehow I felt more sweating and dehydration in Kokan region when compared to Goa. Be ready to get tan.![[:D]](https://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/images/smilies/Big%20Smile.gif "Big Smile [:D]")
