Enjoyed reading your travelogue. The snaps brought back fond memories of my previous trips to Goa.

Goa happens to be my favourite holiday destination and I go there with family every 2 or 3 years. However, till now, we have travelled by flight or train only. Never driven down as it is too far away (around 1400 km, one way). It has always been a dream to drive down to Goa. Hope it comes true some day soon.[:)]

Thank you mbt_india.
Goa is definitely a favorite place for many.[;)]
I hope your dream of driving to Goa comes along true soon.
If you planning on a road trip to Goa, you can actually halt for a night in some place on the route so that you can break down the drive and make your road trip much easier.

That's the way I've always had it.

It's Palolem (M is silent)

That's the official name forced down our throats after liberation. Local's still call it Panjim.

Dona Paula

What is that supposed to mean?

Bogmalo
Hi P3T3R,

Thank you for all those corrections. [:)]
Dint know you were from Goa before or else would have bugged you with questions related to my trip.
Its not the end though. Will be there again very soon.
Sugar cane juice was indeed tasty, better than what we get here in Bangalore. [clap]

Thank you Rajvel [:D]
Climate was very pleasant as I was there in whats called as the 'season.'
Humidity was not all that less tough, needless to say that humidity is always there in such coastal regions. [;)]

Thanks for the correction P3T3R.

The foreign visitors were at large at this place, during my Christmas visit.
OK. There are always foreigners everywhere in Goa.

No problem, you can message me anytime or if I'm down in Goa you can call me for any query.

BTW I highlighted the mistakes as they are the ones commonly made by tourists. Sometimes you mis-spell or mis-pronounce a name when asking for directions and then people get confused and wonder what you are talking about.

That is very true. mis-pronouncing places is deceptive in all means. I am glad you corrected me. Thank you buddy. [clap]

Btw I speak Konkani so no issues in Goa[:)].

MMI at disposal all the way.

Will pen down my Tlog by this weekend.
Speaking Konkani should have been great I guess, however, communicating in Hindi was also not that bad. Most/All of Goans know Hindi.. [;)]

Waiting for your TLog buddy. Bring it on. [glasses]

Good job buddy..

A very detailed travelogue with beautiful pics to speak on. Enjoyed reading every bit of it. Thank you for bringing back my memory. It was in 2007 Jan did my trip to Goa. I could still remember the trip and names of places like Dona Paula, Anjuna, Colva, Madgoa, Calangute, Baga beach, Club cubana, nine bar.... lovely places to visit espcially when going with friends [;)]

After reading your TL, My mind poped up of doing a road trip this year (of course with family) will definitely work on it.....

Cheers,
- Ash...
