Hey no Vibhor i am in Mangalore(my home town).
Now roaming near by places.
Will leave to Goa tomorrow.
On the way i visited Golden tibetian temple, near Byalukuppe(On the way to coorg).
Superb place.
Now tata photon + is serving me, to stay connected with you all.

The road to goa near Bhatkal was horrible with deep filled pot holes.
But it was a wonderful trip to temples, beaches.
But accompained by rain all the way.

Now in Mangalore, will return to bangalore tomorrow.

In this journey i have seen the heavy rains which i had never seen before.
It was raining heavily, even now its raining continuously.

even I go to goa couple of times in a year to visit our temple in Revana.

The route I usually take is through Hubli (My parents stay in this city).

Bangalore - Hubli (7hr drive) GQ
Dont enter hubli city, take the bypass road after the toll gate, [ask the person which left turn 1st or 2nd iam not sure] turn left towards Karwar. This will take you through
Kalgatagi - Yellapur - Karwar (172kms - 2.5 hrs) - Goa

Since the mines trucks are off road this will be the best route. instead of going through Haveri - Sirsi - Ankola route

Is route Kalgatagi - Yellapur - Karwarstill good? I am planning to use this to reach Goa on 29th. Also is there a good place for night stay on NH4 near Hubli?

Vagish if you want to have lunch better have it in Ayodhya Hotel in Hubli.
It's the best place for lunch.
Ask anyone after taking right turn towards Hubli city.
I went to this hotel when i was going to Shirdi.

Actually I want Hotel for night stay, as I do not want to do night driving. Also I am not early riser, and want to reach Goa before 2 PM to utilize hotel Check in timing in Goa.

At what time are you planning to leave Bangalore.

Refuell yourself at Dobaspet Kamat or in Tumkur.
As you can't find even a single hotel in that stretch.
It's said that Chitradurga-Ranibennur is not that good.
And there is lot of deviations near Davangere.

I am planning to leave Bangalore by 11 AM (This is because I get up only after 9 AM and I do not want to wake up early because it will add to the travel strain). We will have lunch packed.
