Its a 5 seater mini SUV with 450+ ltrs boot space and with 1500CC diesel engine. If the price is less than TATA Safari Merlin/Scorpio it will be hit as other two have 7 seating capacity, bigger engine. Ofcourse DUSTER's weight is just 1200 KG and for 1.5 Diesel engine it is enough for it's weight. The 0-100 KM/H figure is under 12 Sec that means it is very quick.

Duster has all the potential to become first hit Renault here in India.People are now really mature enough to buy a small urban SUV.The only point to watch out of course is how Renault prices it.If priced above Safari and Scorpio this will become another sales dud.Carlos Ghosn are you listening!

Renault’s next model for India (after the Pulse) is the Duster compact SUV.
The vehicle with heavy camouflage in Chennai. The spied Duster had equipment to take down readings near the center console and was being driven extremely fast.

Renault India has confirmed the showcasing of the mini SUV Duster at the Delhi Auto Expo on January 6. The Renault version of the Dacia Duster sports a revised center console, new alloy wheels, and a dash of chrome on its front-end.

I heard price of duster petrol starts from 6 lakh (ex-showrrom) and diesel between 8 to 10 lakh bracket.

The Duster will come with five variants which include a base 1.6-litre petrol at a price of approximately Rs 7 lakh and the 1.5-litre diesel.
The diesel engine will be available in two states of tune — an entry-level 85bhp version and a top-of-the-line 110bhp variant.
The power window switches for the rear passengers will be moved from the front dash to the more conventional location on the door pads.Interior space is impressive.
Renault has ambitious plans of selling 50,000 units every year.
The Duster will be on sale in the second half of this year.
