Thanks for the neat clean up job Vibhor. Saved me the trouble uploading the pictures with my slow connection. I'll keep adding important parts of the old thread and my new updates. ICE update is next on the cards. I've just started sourcing parts for building a Carputer.

Ok here's the update on the milege.
Just tanked up today.
Last tankful on 30.01.10. ODO: 6783 and trip meter reset.
Today again filled up 21.67 litres. ODO: 7080
Total Kms: 297
Milege: 13.71 Kmpl.
The driving was 60% Highway and 40% City.
Very disappointed.

Very spirited driving ? or more than 120+kmph ?

I usually drive at around 80 on the highway. City driving is slower. The traffic is Goa is not much. I also don't unneccesarily rev the car. Infact I really rev my Petra and drive over 100 on the highways and it gives me 13 Kmpl.

Oh this is very bad Peter!! Considering your driving at 60% highways you should have got a much higher figure. In fact you are saying you drive only at 80 and don rev the engine hard , so a much higher figure is expected! Why don you try some other MASS in Goa??

I had meant a heavy foot on the accelerator!!
But your speed of 80 on the highway eliminates that option.

There is something fundamentally wrong with your car then.

Even my car gives 14 easily on spirited driving conditions.

Any car < 1200cc @ 80kmph will definitely give above 15+ easily

Whats the reply from MSIL when reported about this issue ?

I'm a bit busy with the house repairs now so I'll take it to the dealer next week and see what they say.

Oh okay but take it asap! There is surely something wrong in your car!! the FE figures are too low! I drive my Verna at around 100-120kmph in highways and get 18-20kmpl!!

Total Kms: 379
Milege: 14.20 Kmpl.
Today gave the car back to the dealer. Now they are replacing the throttle body. Lets see what happens.

60-40 actually. The milege is up but still too low.

Hope you don't need to pay?

The car is not even a year old. Why should I pay. I have 2 years warranty.

Anyway if the problem is not solved, I'm selling the car. Already spoke to the bank about closing the loan. I have already told the dealer that if they can't solve the problem, then take the car back and refund my money.
