Quick Meet in Pondicherry on 23rd December 2012

once everyone assembled. Raj Uncle suggested Boating. As most of the doesn't know swimming, we first avoided the plan. But, Raj uncle encouraged us to feel the thrilling the Boating.


On the Way to Fisherman's Harbor :

With his reference, We went to the Fishermenss harbor & went to boating.

We went some 2Kms in backwaters of the sea & we all sat with some fear inside. But, the driver of the boat was very friendly & drove the boat very safely.

At one point he made a U-turn & while return the Dirver of the boat stopped at one place & we went to see a Historical Place call "Arikamedu".

There we found a Fort which was built by Dutch People. spent some time there & returned to boat and reached the land very safely.

By the time was about to 3:00Pm we reached the Harbor.

Now everyone was hungry. Raj Uncle & Surendar discussed about some hotels & finally decided one hotel. Surendar lead us to reach the hotel.

While Returning from Shore, there was Speed Breaker to check the Ground Clearance of Sedans:









Once we finished our Lunch, Illango Joined the meet with his bike. His Sierra is in Modification & it will get ready very soon.

at 4:30Pm:

As we(Sethu, Sai & Myself) need to reach Chennai before traffic, we decided to leave Pondy. before that Sethu needs to check the Mileage calculator ECU device ODB which is connected to ECU of Sai's Santro. we can check our car engine performance, Mileage, Rpm, etc., with the help of a Android Application "Torque" via Bluetooth. It costs around 1.5K in Ebay.

Then I checked the 2Din system in Raj Fiesta. It was wonderful with excellent clarity.

As, My friend needs to buy some books in Pondy. Myself & My friend stayed in Pondy for sometime. Meanwhile Dhaya, Surendar & Sethu Sir left the Place & we said Bye to them.

After Dhaya, Surendar & Sethu Sir left, Raj interested to check my Infinity Speakers in my car. His uncle, Illango, Raj & Myself sat in my Vista for 20Mins & I played some songs to show the bass effort of my Infinity Speakers. Then Illango & Raj uncle spoke about Illango's Sierra, Ford Endeavor & Safari. that was a Fantastic conversation.


Around 5:00pm we three(Raj , Myself & Illango) decided to leave & Illango guided my the route to buy the Books. I just followed his bike and reached the Book Exhibition which was opposite to his grandfather house. After Brought some books, I called Illango & said thanks & left the Place.

I started at Pondy took Pondy > Tindivanam > Chennai Route & reach room at 9:30pm.


Myself & My Friend had a Awesome experience on this Meet, Really Enjoyed a lot :)

By the way, My place is Airyankuppam, Which is in between Pondicherry & cuddalore.
From Pondicherry, if you want to visit Arikamedu through road, you have to go through my area.

I used to play @arikamedu, during my early school days, almost 20 years back, with my elder brother-in law, who had a college mate there. We used to go there every weekend, by cycle, around 1.5km from my home. Nice memories. After that, now only I'm seeing Arikamedu.

Guys,

We all enjoyed a lot yesterday at Pondy. My part of the story was n't big since I myself did not know about my participation in the meet, thanks to my tight work schedule.

Till Saturday night i was not in a position to confirm. I know Mr. RK and Appu are trying to reach in all modes and Mr. dhaya also messaged me couple of times.

I had spoke to Mr. RK and Appu on Friday evening and explained them my situation and even at that time I told to both of them that I might not join for the meet.

But on saturday things got changed and my company announced LAY-OFF for 23rd and 30th. Thanks to the rescission . So I confirmed to SAI that I will join them but I was dead tired becuase of my work tight work schedule. So instead of driving my spark I decided to join anyone from chennai. Then came to know that Dhaya was already hit the ECR on saturday evening itself. So decided to join Sai and to my luck Sai's friend stays close to my house and Sai had already planed to pick him up. So it was easy for me to join them.

We had planed to start by 6am so that I woke up around 4.45 [my usual time on working days] and was ready by 6.10. But Sai got held up somewhere and we started from my place around 7.30am.

We hit the ECR and Sai and His freind praveen shared the driver seats. We decided to have break fast in A2B at mahabs and completed our BF with great difficulty [not much was available, heavily crowded, low man power for services ].

Reached pondy around 11. Before reaching I spoke to appu, dhaya and surendar. Surendar welcomed us at Pondy univercity and on the go we met Raj and Appu. Raj's uncle Mr. Bala was very helpful in Pondy being a very influencive person in Pondy. He wanted us to go for a boat riding actually in sea. Since most of us were scared [That includes me] he said we will go on river.

We took boat riding for an hour and visited a great historical place as Raj Mentioned. Mr. Mathi, the boat person really was very friendly and we all never had the fear what we had before stepping to the boat. Thanks to Mr. Mathi. Had a plan to visit the place again with family.

Around 3pm we were back to land and proceeded for lunch at Chillies restaurent. Except Sai we all had nice Non Veg meal and Enjoyed the Chicken a lot. This time I found Surendar will be a great dining companian too for me.

When we finish our lunch Mr. Ilango joined the meet [He had some un expected thing at home so could n't meet us]

By 5.30 we bid good bye to each other and departed from pondy. Surendar and raj left to their homes. Appu and Dinesh [Appus Freind] went for some shopping at pondy. Two cars left to chennai from pondy. Sai's Santro and Dhaya's Jetta.

Around 730 we had a coffee at Mahab's Coffee day. Around 8.30 after dropping Praveen at his house sai and myself proceeded to my house. Sai had a look at my sparky for 10 mints and then I took him to my house for 5 mints and around 8 Sai left to Pondy along with his Cousin.

That is the end of our Pondy meet. Which is really a good one for Raj who was dieing to be part of TAI meet and Finally we had one on his home town itself.

Here I would like to thank TAI for being a wonderful ground for meeting with good freinds. and also I would like to thank Mr. Bala, [Raj's uncle] who became a TAI member for the the meet and also he talks lot of bikes and cars and our members seems to enjoy to have conversation with him.
