I own a second hand Chevrolet beat 2015. I feel the coolant oil is low. I don't know much about coolant oil. I have several questions regarding coolant oil for my car :

1. Which coolant oil should I get?
2. Should I refill coolant oil by myself? If yes, how?
3. Is it okay to get coolant oil refilled by any car repair shop even if they are not Chevrolet service shop? The nearest repair shop from my home deals with cars which are mostly Tata and Maruti. They did looked after my car dents last time.
4. What will happen if I don't refill coolant oil within 20 days after low coolant level?

Check with your nearby service center or workshop who can suggest some good brand. Normally, car manufacturers recommend a certain brand for their cars. The owner's manual should include a recommended type of coolant for your vehicle's use. .

Yes you can.
Remove the cap completely. If the coolant level is low, add the correct coolant to the reservoir. You can use diluted coolant by itself. When coolant rises to the cold fill line, replace cap and tighten it until you feel it click. If you still find it difficult, then better go to nearby workshop who will do this for you but may ask some money as labor charge?

Yes. Not necessary you go to Chevy service center for this work.

Driving with low coolant can cause your engine to overheat, leading to severe damage such as pistons welding to cylinders or a complete engine failure.

A full tank coolant may last for 2 years or something around 30/40000 kms, I guess.

If your car dropping coolant much faster, then it may be due to leaks in the cooling system – the hoses, radiator or radiator cap, for example.
