guys, an another DIY

premium carpet flooring.

stingray had an old styling rexin flooring
it use to be more cheap looking
so prepared to do a DIY

i used an
SYNTHETIC FIBER CARPET
Sq.ft. 25Rs

Things needed:
carpet as you needed
screwdriver set
scissors(big size)

you can just cut a approximate size and place it ,but finish would int be the best looking

so i removed all plastic interior coverings to place edges and sides of carpet inside panels so it feels premium

i used a news paper for getting rough shape
then transferred to carpet

then i trimmed the edges after placing inside car for exact fit

then i fitted the panels back.

this is how it looks before and after

FINISHING IS THE IMPORTANT ASPECT
SO BE SURE BEFORE CUTTING ANY EDGES!!!

Dear Stingray,

I just shared my inputs for other enthusiasts.

The material is available in different widths.

2 feet width and 8 to 9 feet length is enough for hatchback/under 4meter sedans the material cost is approximately between
rs1000-1300/- only.

3m style mat(noodle smat) material is available in car accessories stores for less price.

What is the price you paid for noodle mat material.

This material is available in different shades(colors).

Just saw your ownership thread and the results are very nice.

I paid around 1300/- which is way cheaper than any 3D mats (even local ones).

Yes its available in many colours.

Advantage of noodle mats is, they absorb dust, keeps actual carpet clean and are washable. I am completely satisfied with the results.

For good finish. You remove all side panels and seats. A
You can use these carpet or noodle mats also

The rexin floor is actually dealer addition and every car comes with carpet only. Usually people to Rexin floor for ease of cleaning and preventing water from logging into the carpet and smelling bad in monsoon. Usually 1-1.5 is charged for converting carpet to vinyl and now you have a sandwich of carpet-vinyl-carpet [gun]
