We got it from market for Rs 700/- . In MASS its priced at Rs 1250/- . Are they giving it new LXI models ?

Leave the ORVM , most irritating thing is there is no key-hole on left door. In case your car does not have remote central lock (see my earlier post) you cannot unlock the car from left side , in case you have to park right side towards wall.

Nope. Left ORVM is only available in the newly released VXi variant. It's the first thing I need to install. Prices of Maruti Genuine Accessories are ridiculously high.

2nd service (checkup) was done at nearby MASS. Cost - Zero.
Opted for under body coating - Rs 1950 (at MASS)

Can you give details of the under body coating. They do only wheel arch or whole under body. What warranty they are offering? Any periodic inspection intervals?
Meanwhile couple of photos of our (my sister's) vehicle also posting here.

Yes the under body coating is done below the floor board area, chassis and wheel arches. There is a warranty of 2 years and it can be re-done (might be touch up) after one year.

I performed the PDI sometime back. Thankfully the newer models have a keyhole on left.

We can fit key socket i think

Btw. One Auto took Rs.1350/- for underbody coating with 3 years limited warranty. Why this big difference?

But the body has to drilled for that purpose isnt it ? Also where do I find the lock which pairs the existing keys ?

The under-body was done from local MASS, Maruti Link , its stones throw distance from our house. Not sure why they over charged.

Sorry for the late entry dont know how i missed your thread.Congratulations on your alto mate.
I know its soo very irritating that left ORVM as well as locking key on LH door not provided by maruti, how much would it cost for such things to have opted out by maruti.

Thanks Vijay. Yes its absolutely important that ARAI makes these features mandatory as per BS4 safety regulations so all cars come fitted with these from factory.

Absolutely, when we talk about ABS and Airbags to get mandatory in all the vehicles, its shame to see such utter basic things opted out by maruti.
