so guys here after long time want to give some update regarding my white angel so the car is now 9 months and 6 days old and runing strong with 25000 kms on odo .
EXPERIENCE (SO FAR )
1. pick up is something i love just press the gas and you are good to fly .
2. initial ownership sor far is great but some of mandatory and compulsary features are present in mine car to i.e thug thuk thag thakh chic chac noise from susepension and a hidden feature which were not mention on brochure- the pothole sensing auto wipers.
3 . done 3 service on 1000 ,10000, 20000kms but on 3rd service that is on 20000kms i have to change my rear disc break pads the front disc pads are good but rear are worn out so change the rear one .
Now guys the problem is this that my tyre are almost bald from sides gone post pic for reference so need to change the tyre ,so please suggest me wright size to upgrade with brand name. i am currently on stock tyre i.e 195/55 r 16 brigestone b250 but now iam thinking of increasing tyre size with 205/55 r 16 may be with brigestone g 3 ,michilen xm1 + or Yokohama sdrive but confuse . my main priority is handling then comfort so please guys do give your suggestions .
Front tyre on first picture and back tyre on 2nd picture.

Shubham. Your tyres are gone friend. If you are in the hills you should not risk driving with these tyres. The seem to have taken a big beating the way they have gone bald. May be its the kind of hilly roads you drive on. Lots of S bends or U bends I guess . Otherwise these tyres will not be in this condition after 25000 km. they are made to last atleast 50000 to 60000km .

After taking delivery of my Crdi Sxo Automatic in Jan12 , I had changed my tyres to 205/55/16 Michelien Primacy Lc. Have used these tyres so far and have done 10500 km on the odo. They don't protrude out on the side at all. They are pretty comfy and good to handle and no change in drive characteristics. The highlight is pretty silent and quiet drive and seems to have a low rolling resistance. I had looked at options between the S Drices of Yokohama and the Michelien Primacy. Cost aprox Rs 8800/- each. In case you guys want a more aggressive look you could opt for 215/50/16 on the S Drives of Yokohama. Photos have been posted earlier. I had put up the photos in earlier posts sometime in Jan12 posts.

Get your alignment checked Because tyres wont wear that much in 25K km[surprise]

I will go with brigestone potenza g3 [;)]

Heard that Yokohama May get sidewall damage when going through potholes and
Michelin xm1+ looks more like Stock Tyre ( Thread pattern) [lol]

Keep in mind after changing the tires make sure you do wheel balancing and alignment in the specified time

i agree with vishak , 25k is nothing. a tubeless should run atleast 40 k. but yeah now you can't do anything but purchase new tyres.

next time don't forget tyre rotation + regular tyre alignment.

Shubham. Click on the link mentioned above. It will take you to page 61. Have posted some pics there. Since u have used the Bridgestone tyres I would recommend you to try out option between the S Drives of Yokohama or the Michelien Primacy LC. I have had a good experience with the Michelien so far. Though the S Drives look better the Michelien seems to run quieter and have a low rolling resistance and may add 1kmpl to your mileage.

thanks for the suggestion buddy but regarding Yokohama tyres iam a bit confuse because of the sidewall breaking issue in them on hitting a pothole at higher speed . as iam from hills and condition of road here is just disaster after the heavy monsoon so one have to find road in potholes which scares me a bit .

Hey Shubham; good to hear that the White Angle has clossed 25K kms and still running strong; but at the same time I am shocked to see the condition of your tyres after 25k. My all time favourite are Bridgestone Potenza GIIIs(I had them on my DZire and believe me they were awesome) and size I would pick up is 205/55/16. This will be my tyre upgrade once the stock tyres are dead. IMO; these tyres may be costly (approx 9k in mumbai and that too not in stock) and if you find some dealer arranging for you by placing order then well and good. I guess this is the stock size for Laura.(205/55/16) Then also not in stock. Strange.

Na Gears. Never had that issue even with full load of 5 person in the car. I fact this tyre is just 1 cm more width than stock tyre. It doesn't look like you have upgraded cause it looks just like the stock tyre. Even the tyre shop asked me why I changed to this tyre as it doesn't make too much difference. He was suggesting the 215/50/16. That may be ok for city roads but don't know if it would be ok for bad roads. I wonder if there is anyone on the forum with this upgrade size. We could get some user opinions.
