Next-Gen Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Launched in India

After the launch of the New Swift in Q1 2018, Maruti Suzuki is rumored to launch the New Gen Ertiga.



Codenamed YHA, the next generation Ertiga will continue to offer 7 seats the new Ertiga will be built on Suzuki’s HEARTECT platform, will be lighter, fuel efficient and safer than current car and be compliant to the upcoming safety norms.

The new model will have family design and styling cues will be shared with the new Dzire. The cabin features and design of the dashboard, instrument console and centre console will also be sourced from the new Swift. The MPV could also get Suzuki’s SmartPlay infotainment system with 7-inch display

So 7 seater is going to become lighter as well. Expect the same cheap build quality of Baleno and new Dzire.

We all know that it's not gonna happen. They are going to milk the customers with the 1.3MJD as long as people buy.

So 7 seater is going to become lighter as well. Expect the same cheap build quality of Baleno and new Dzire.

It may be possible that there will be the all new 1.5 L Petrol and Diesel engine on offer just like the upcoming CIAZ. As far as built quality is concerned, well.....lets not get into it.

Next-gen Maruti Ertiga test mule spied in India for the first time

new 7-seat Maruti MPV test mule that was spied testing on the Greater Noida Expressway recently. This is most likely the next-gen Maruti Ertiga (code: Maruti YHA) making its spy photo debut

The test mule, especially from behind the C-pillar, looks much bigger than the current Maruti Ertiga. The second generation model may have a longer body and a bigger wheelbase for increased seating space. The current model is 4,296 mm long, 1,695 mm wide and 1,685 mm tall. It has a 2,740 mm wheelbase.

Maruti Suzuki has managed well to hide the new design with the heavy camouflage. However, the steeply raked backglass in the second generation Maruti Ertiga is evident. The company has refrained from using sliding rear doors in the redesigned model. The interior may look very similar to that of the all-new Swift, save for a distinctive colour scheme aimed to make the cabin look elegant.



The next-gen Maruti Ertiga will likely share the Heartect platform with the Dzire and the next-gen Maruti Swift due early next year. The new platform should bring weight savings and increased stiffness to the MPV.



With the lifecycle change, Maruti Suzuki is set to replace the Ertiga’s 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine with a new in-house developed, royalty-free 1.5-litre diesel engine. It is unknown whether the K14B 1.4-litre petrol engine will continue. With an increased focus on vehicle safety, the all-new Ertiga may have dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child seat anchorages and other vital safety features that should come standard.

The next-gen Maruti Ertiga is forecast to reach showrooms in mid-2018. The Suzuki-badged version will arrive in Indonesia in H1 2018.

This an interesting SCOOP and it looks like a BR-V for Ertiga !
The rear profile after the C-pillar looks new and elongated , also the front portion looks like a copy paste from Vitara, But the there is the MPV-ishness of the Ertiga on the sides! It should be on the C-platform that underpins Brezza,Scross and Vitara rather than the Dzire , Baleno,Ignis one !
It may revive and show Honda new numbers for BR-V segment :P

It can be a new Vitara xxxx or Vitara brezza + based on Brezza with 7 seats or we can say 7 seater version of Vitara Brezza as per these images. I might be wrong though
