why punto over swift?
1.Tank like build quality.Thanks to the flimsy build of maruti
2.Ride quality,currently no hatch can match with punto's ride quality

But the sales figure ....irony!!!
yep thats true..its mainly because of the lack of brand image..its not because of the potential of the cars they make.If some one buys a fiat there will be lots of people asking the questions .."Are you sure that Fiat will be there in Indian market after 5 years?..Did you think about the resale value?"..Fiat needs to work hard to build up their reputation as trusted car maker.
I voted for Ford Figo, for the reason i was completely bowled over by the interior space, as well as boot space for luggage.
Its a VFM package when compared to all the competitors.
I hope Jazz is equally good in rear seating comfort & boot space, but i haven't sat in a Jazz.

Swift is well designed (at least exteriors) and stable engine and lags only in build quality issue which is non-issue with typical Indian conditions and people mindset of trust and A.S.S. Hence high sales figures.
Punto is totally dented by fear of A.S.S. of Tata and poor marketing.
Jazz didn't kick-off because it wasn't VFM as Indian buyer typically look for.
Jazz will still not kick-off despite huge price cut due to production issues.
So, people will still queuing up Maruti showrooms for Swift despite Punto being better diesal car and Jazz being much better petrol car.
