The much-awaited wait is over and Kia has finally launched the updated Carnival in India, priced at Rs 63.90 lakh, ex-showroom. The updated Kia Carnival is available in two variants, both in a seven-seater configuration, sold as CKDs. The return of the Kia Carnival is a welcome move for those looking for a luxury MPV, placed above the Toyota Innova Hycross in India.
For starters, it is all new. The Carnival now gets a more butch look with a large front grille and a boxy design. The flared wheel arches and the L-shaped DRLs add to the overall design aesthetics of the new Kia Carnival. The MPV retains its trademark rear sliding doors, making it easy for passengers to enter and exit.
In terms of features, the updated Kia Carnival gets two 12.3-inch displays, one which is the infotainment system and the other a digital dashboard. The Carnival gets smartphone connectivity, navigation, Bose speakers, a powered tailgate, three-zone climate control, ventilated seats, connected tail lamps, connected car tech and more. Safety includes 8 airbags, ADAS Level 2, 360-degree camera and more.
Speaking of powertrain options, the new Kia Carnival is powered by a sole 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine that makes 190 bhp and 441 Nm of torque, paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
