New Harley Davidson Nightster has been offered in three colour options including Vivid Black, Gunship Grey, and Redline Red
Harley Davidson has officially unveiled the 2022 iteration of Nightster globally. The new Harley-Davidson Nightster is powered by the 975 cc liquid-cooled Revolution Max engine and will be positioned below the Sportster S in the brand's line-up. Compared to the Sportster S though, the Nightster gets a more traditional appearance inspired by the classic air-cooled Sportsters. Notable bits include chopped fenders, a round air intake cover, a walnut-shaped fuel tank and twin rear shocks. However, there are plenty of modern bits too.
Power on the Harley Nightster comes from the Revolution Max 975T engine, which is a derivative of the 1252 cc motor on the Sportster S. It gets a smaller bore and stroke of 97 mm and 66 mm respectively. The DOHC unit uses hydraulic lifters on all four valves per cylinder with variable valve timing. The engine has been tuned for more torque and develops 90 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 95 Nm of peak torque available at 5,000 rpm. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slip clutch.
The Harley Nightster rides on a 19-inch cast-aluminium front and 16-inch rear wheel. Sales for the Nightster will begin soon in the US and the model is likely to make its way to the Indian market as well.
