Congrats adi85,
You have chosen one of the proven its stance car in Hatchback segment. Happy Miles. Peace..!
Thanks levronstyle212 for the wishes. Many more happy miles to you to buddy. Went through your ownership review, quite nicely laid out. Loved the pics. I think a smart move to go for ABS equipped model. Ritz and swift are almost priced in the same range, but ABS in the middle variant makes Ritz a better model and also the seating position is better. But some how i liked Swift better, if only they didn't remove ABS from middle variant.

JBL component is also nice, i also got it installed on the wooden frame with damping around it. Same for rear infinity setup. I think HU is one of the best VFM piece available in the market. Yes it is underpowered with only 50W output, but we can get a 2ch-amp to power the components.

Regarding Bluetooth calls, it is working well for me. When the HU is on USB mode, the Bluetooth call works fine. I need to check the AUX mode, i hardly use it. Also i think it supports two phones at a time, but i need to confirm on this.
I like the whole carpet idea, will definitely get it done. Seat cover and steering cover is also pending.

Did you get anti-rust or waxing done in your car. Also were you able to remove stains from the beading.

Wiper switch on left and turn indicator & defogger switch on the right
Did you get rear defogger in the VDI variant ? How ?
Is it come in stock or you need to replace the whole Rear Windshield ?

Hi Arijitb, I should have written rear fog lamp switch. I think i'm missing defogger a lot in my car these days due to Delhi weather and hence made the mistake. Sorry for the confusion.

Hey Adi Congratulation on your new purchase , have a happy gliding.
Thanks Turbonator5.

^^
1.Plastic quality looks bit cheap
2.I think Maruti is completely tied up with JK to give us some useless grip tyres
3. Pedals made me surprise
4. Rear seat is just like a bench and yes it looks claustrophobic too
5. Rear view is bad like Ritz
6. Maruti swift/Ritz selling just because of Fiat engine it seems
7. Rear leg room looks very poor
I agree they could have done better with the boot space, rear leg room and rear view with a little design change. They are genuinely losing to i20 and upcoming jazz in terms of space and material quality.
They could have also provided better tyres and quality plastics but comparing with the segment it is in I think i don't have much to complain. But they should definitely make sure that there plastics don't rattle while driving the car which i really hate[anger].
In the end you have to make some compromises as there is no perfect car out there in the market(specially in my price range).

Congratulations Buddy for the new ride.[clap]
Have a Happy and Safe miles ahead. BTW, I have planned for a Swift but ended in Honda Amaze[:)]
Thanks Karthik, Amaze petrol is great choice, great engine and honda reliability. With diesel version the NVH was a big issue for me apart from the plain console. But for sure it has best in class space.

I had the tyre pressure of Swift checked today and i was surprised to see that the pressure in the tyre was between 45 to 60. I was feeling the ride very bumpy. I got it checked 10 days back and and i generally follow this time gap.
Some one suggested to get the steel caps instead of rubber which lets the air pass in.
How can i avoid the tyres pressure increasing on its own.
And since the temperature in Delhi is around 10C and me being a sedate driver, i'm quite surprised to see the tyre pressure getting doubled.
I keep 33PSI in front and 30PSI in rear, have stock VDI tyres and only the front two seats are occupied.

There is a simple Science behind this phenomena. (Charles's Law, Gas Law)

"The volume of a given mass of an ideal gas is directly proportional to its temperature"

Which means the volume of gas increase with respect to the Temperature. Since the volume cannot raise, pressure raises.

For example:- you would have filled or checked the air pressure in cooler temperature (Assume 15 c), and rechecked after a long drive (Friction in Tyre is converted to heat and this leads to raise in temperature of the air inside the Tyre) or in comparatively hotter temperature (Assume 45 c) OR may be a Human Error [:)]

Some one suggested to get the steel caps instead of rubber which lets the air pass in.
The purpose of the Cap is only to protect the valve from dust and no other letting in or letting out

Even i was quite surprised with the reading i saw.

Yes, adding a little science makes it easier to understand. But will this be dangerous if the tyre pressure reaches around 60-70. And if this is the result when i'm driving in city crawling traffic with below 10C temperature. what will happen if i plan to take my car for a long drive in Delhi summers.

The purpose of the Cap is only to protect the valve from dust and no other letting in or letting out
Ok, that make some sense.

I did and that's why first thing i did when i reached office is posted my doubt here. Slight relief.[:)]. Thanks for the explanation.

Not to worry, the Tyres are tested for extreme conditions than we actually face.[;)]

My car got its first scratch [sad]. It happened while my wife was taking it out from the basement parking. I'm not sure if this is rust or the paint has chipped off. Attaching the pics here.
Kindly suggest what should be done.

I would suggest you to use some scratch remover , but if paint is gone, do brush touch up. In case you want to get it painted, you have to get it done for whole panel, which will be costly.
