No bro, they are not ready to negotiate more. They are just stuck at 35k + seat cover. No further accessories.

Manufacturing month, year is Aug, 2016.
Its way old.
I would personally stay away from it. Seems doubtful to me, how can good selling vehicle not move from stockyard from such a long period ?
Plus 35k + 6k (seat cover) = 41k, for a 8 month old vehicle, seems way less to me.

I would say better to settle for 2017 manufactured and have peace of mind.

Bro I think the reason of stock in 2016 Model Ertiga is Because its Petrol, In Ertiga too, The best selling is the DDiS (SHVS), I don't Know may be it could be a reason. And regarding the offer's i think its because its August 2016 Manufactured model, So its nearly staying at the Yard for 8 Months, And they have sell it anyways right, I think i would be the reason of this good deal, Even i would say to stick with the 2017 Model, But as he's in urgency he is in buying the 2016 Model. Don't Know But Vikas Bro, Think Twice and proceed[:)].

Even I would suggest for a 2017 model Vikas. As rightly said by Gautam, how come a successful vehicle is still not sold ???.
@FordFiesta1.6 - Congratulations for the 3k mark. Sir regarding the oil change, did you do that in the first service. My uncle's understanding is better to go with mineral oil as the engine is still bedding in and synthetic oil will not be good for this process. At the 10 k service, we can switch to synthetic oil.
Please advise

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I was all set and I was about to book today. Now I am confused again. [confused]

Problem is that I am getting the new 2017 model in 6-8 weeks. And if I go for 2017 model, it would have no discount other than 10k consumer offer. Plus there i no guarantee that the vehicle which would be delivered, would not be more than a month old. Maruti may send a piece from January 2017. Irony is that even if they have inventory they take 6-8 weeks to deliver the actual vehicle.

I would rather wait for a freshly baked car (my personal choice) than go for 6-8 months old vehicle. Maruti production is closed from 15th Dec to 15th Jan (as stated by the sales executive). So likely you should get a Feb or later produce. I got a Feb produced car in Mar, it was a Diesel though.

Even i would say it's safe to get the 2017 Model, I too have the same doubt as how come the dealer has a 2016 that too a August manufactured model still, As i just had a talk to my ertiga sales executive, He said all the stocks are gone and not even a base petrol or diesel Ertiga, Ciaz, Brezza or even The Swift's are left And the Ertiga has a minimum of 8 - 9 Weeks waiting period for all variants Petrol/Diesel, Any Colour.

And bro, First engine oil service comes at 3rd free service 10K Km which is Only Free labour charge. That's what i'm also saying.

OMG Sorry if we confused a lot, But we just wanted make sure that your purchase is good and safe. As mostly the last year stock would be 50% with problems (As i'm experienced) when they delivered my swift it was in a used car like look and feel as it wasn't cleaned properly, Wasn't Delivered with all the ribbon's and stuff, And with all those bird dropping stains on top, It was so messed up, It took me 4-5 Months to make the car looking good and like a new car. Also it won't have that new car smell to it on the inside, You want i mean right, Newly manufactured cars has that newly assembled parts smell, [frustration] wish i could explain you properly. My Ertiga had it as my car was out of the complete Manufacturing process on Nov 5th, Car was lifted on 08th of Nov, Took it delivered on 26th Nov, so it was pretty much less than a month old when i took it delivered, Same with fiesta it was manufactured on October 10th 2007 And we took it delivered on Nov 2007 (Yeah there is a month gap but not too long) It had the new car feel, But my swift was manufactured on March 2013 Took it delivered on January 2014, 9 - 10 Months Similar to that Granite grey ertiga, And it Didn't had that smell of a new car, Anyways bro think twice Before making any decision as the amount you're gonna invest in it is a big one, So at the result you should get the peace with it. And ask for any 2017 Model Ertiga shipping out from the Plant without any allocation or in transit, By saying that if there is one i can pay downpayment for it ASAP, Maybe there you could get one, Also try other dealers too.

Same Here bro, Always a Newly manufactured cars gives more peace of mind.

Yes Bro there is a relay feature for the same which Our TAI'ger Rohit Has Fitted on his Ertiga VXi+ AT, I remember that he said it was around 2,200/- to 2,400/-, But really the Auto Folding mirrors when locking the car Relay function comes very handy.

No need to be sorry sir [:D] It might prove a good decision in the end not to buy the old model. Actually I miscalculated the age of the vehicle. I was calculating it as 6 months old while, as you guys pointed out, it is actually 8 months old now.

Also it won't have that new car smell to it on the inside, You want i mean right, Newly manufactured cars has that newly assembled parts smell, wish i could explain you properly.
Though I am most likely not going to buy this old make, I can say that it felt fresh at least on the day I inspected it at stock yard. And I would have never accepted the delivery of the vehicle without ribbons and proper cleaning.

And the Ertiga has a minimum of 8 - 9 Weeks waiting period for all variants Petrol/Diesel, Any Colour.
That is the problem exactly. My dealer is saying it would take 4 months now to get ZXI in Silky Silver color. [frustration] I can not wait for that long even if I cancel my old car sale. Irony is that I can get Baleno in 4-6 weeks but not Ertiga.

This delay is forcing me rethink my choice of the vehicle. My requirements are to upgrade from Honda Brio which has least boot space in the segment. Apart from boot space I wanted to have a less maintenance cost car. Brio's maintenance is very high for the hatchbacks. And the last thing is that I want a car that can seat 2 couples with kids which is very difficult to achieve with any hatchback. And it has a good automatic variant it would be awesome. So, Ertiga and Honda BRV was the options for me. BRV looses against Ertiga in maintenance cost and initial premium (I think min 300,000) price. If I am not able to wait 4 months for Ertiga, which I don't think I will because if wait for 4 months we may have facelift of Ertiga launched available till that time, then may be I have to settle down for Baleno or any other good hatchback.

Hi Bro,

And Sorry to hear that, The 4 months waiting period is mainly because maruti is currently shifting their Manesar plant to Gujarat, so All the entire maruti's line-up of cars are been manufactured in Gurgaon plant, So mostly all the car's waiting period has gone up. And why don't you consider asking for ertiga from your nearby city dealer, They might have one in transit with no allotment.

Ive noticed this as well
Ertiga and Ritz are noisier than the Swift, Ciaz etc with the same engine
No biggie though, its got a nice note and doesnt feel unrefined at all
A bit of music etc can drown it easily

FINALLY ERTIGA ZDI PLUS IS HOME! I will write ownership review in a while, bro I'm little bit confused, car's engine making too much noise as compared to swift, is this ok with new car or ertiga like this only?

Bro, I think Maruti would have removed it, As the External DVD Player Option is of no use, And check whether your car came with android auto or not, Its in connect option.
