Even I would suggest for a 2017 model Vikas. As rightly said by Gautam, how come a successful vehicle is still not sold ???.
@FordFiesta1.6 - Congratulations for the 3k mark. Sir regarding the oil change, did you do that in the first service. My uncle's understanding is better to go with mineral oil as the engine is still bedding in and synthetic oil will not be good for this process. At the 10 k service, we can switch to synthetic oil.
Please advise
Even i would say it's safe to get the 2017 Model, I too have the same doubt as how come the dealer has a 2016 that too a August manufactured model still, As i just had a talk to my ertiga sales executive, He said all the stocks are gone and not even a base petrol or diesel Ertiga, Ciaz, Brezza or even The Swift's are left And the Ertiga has a minimum of 8 - 9 Weeks waiting period for all variants Petrol/Diesel, Any Colour.
And bro, First engine oil service comes at 3rd free service 10K Km which is Only Free labour charge. That's what i'm also saying.
Thanks guys for the suggestions. I was all set and I was about to book today. Now I am confused again.
Problem is that I am getting the new 2017 model in 6-8 weeks. And if I go for 2017 model, it would have no discount other than 10k consumer offer. Plus there i no guarantee that the vehicle which would be delivered, would not be more than a month old. Maruti may send a piece from January 2017. Irony is that even if they have inventory they take 6-8 weeks to deliver the actual vehicle.
OMG Sorry if we confused a lot, But we just wanted make sure that your purchase is good and safe. As mostly the last year stock would be 50% with problems (As i'm experienced) when they delivered my swift it was in a used car like look and feel as it wasn't cleaned properly, Wasn't Delivered with all the ribbon's and stuff, And with all those bird dropping stains on top, It was so messed up, It took me 4-5 Months to make the car looking good and like a new car. Also it won't have that new car smell to it on the inside, You want i mean right, Newly manufactured cars has that newly assembled parts smell,
wish i could explain you properly. My Ertiga had it as my car was out of the complete Manufacturing process on Nov 5th, Car was lifted on 08th of Nov, Took it delivered on 26th Nov, so it was pretty much less than a month old when i took it delivered, Same with fiesta it was manufactured on October 10th 2007 And we took it delivered on Nov 2007 (Yeah there is a month gap but not too long) It had the new car feel, But my swift was manufactured on March 2013 Took it delivered on January 2014, 9 - 10 Months Similar to that Granite grey ertiga, And it Didn't had that smell of a new car, Anyways bro think twice Before making any decision as the amount you're gonna invest in it is a big one, So at the result you should get the peace with it. And ask for any 2017 Model Ertiga shipping out from the Plant without any allocation or in transit, By saying that if there is one i can pay downpayment for it ASAP, Maybe there you could get one, Also try other dealers too.
I would rather wait for a freshly baked car (my personal choice) than go for 6-8 months old vehicle. Maruti production is closed from 15th Dec to 15th Jan (as stated by the sales executive). So likely you should get a Feb or later produce. I got a Feb produced car in Mar, it was a Diesel though.
Same Here bro, Always a Newly manufactured cars gives more peace of mind.
@ford fiesta 1.6 @autoburn carster
Can windows auto roll up when locked outside with smart key? If not how to make them auto roll up?
Yes Bro there is a relay feature for the same which Our TAI'ger Rohit Has Fitted on his Ertiga VXi+ AT, I remember that he said it was around 2,200/- to 2,400/-, But really the Auto Folding mirrors when locking the car Relay function comes very handy.
