@Dasari: Its good that you do not have any particular shortlist - it leaves the entire field open for you to make choices. I would suggest you to check out each and every motorcycle (listed by Kinshuk) personally by taking a long test ride under different traffic conditions. That would give you a fair idea of their capabilities viz a viz your requirements. Objectivity is the best analytical tool to decide upon a vehicle unless one's heart is set upon a particular automobile.

p.s.: 1. Dont bother about resale. How do a couple of thousand rupees here or there matter after 5 years? The annuity value of a rupee and the rate of inflation are reasons enough to render your apprehension about resale value as redundant.

2. Enfields arent everbody's cup of tea.
I know they arent but then they does as well before this thought and after a ride as well.
though its a personal choice from one individual to another so lets see how does his test drives goes and what he feels taking all bikes he rode.

Gone for a test ride and visited all the showrooms (since all the bike show rooms are situated at same place visited all), royal enfileld has waiting period (4 months,cost:1L 22K,Electra) remaining all of them has no waiting period(spot). Im eager to buy bullet but it doesn't have EMI Facility we should pay a NET AMOUNT (1L 22K)

So Dropped Bullet[embarass] , Out of them i selected FZ,CBZ. in dilemma which to buy?

here are the price list of all the bikes which i visited.

FZ- Cost:80k on road,R15 - 1L 30 K[surprise]
CBZ - Cost : 81k on road, karizma - 94k
unicorn - 79k on road
pulsar 150- 78k on road
pulsar 180 - 82k

but selected FZ and CBZ which one to buy ???

Between these 2 bikes i would choose CBZ, the main reason being the service cost and quality is much superior than it's competitors, and moreover if you are planning to tour on this bike you can find ASC in every village. don't forget the resale value's of all Hero bikes[;)]

I would have gone for the FZ in between CBZ and FZ.

My reasons:

The level of refinement is very high in FZ. you dont feel vibrations even at 100+.
It can cruise at 90-100 all day without any kind of stress on the engine.
Very reliable. havent faced any kind of trouble in the past 3 year only servicing needed.
A lot of aftermarket goodies available.
Major power and torque available in the low and mid range makin it a better city ride.

@visran I would disagree on the point of quality. Yamaha quality is much better than HMC.

@Dasari: the only reason why I would go for the CBZ is mileage and the svc network of HMC.

Good points guys
@Kishunk
@Visran

I really like both of the bikes what ever the Tech specs they have,
But Taking Mileage ,SVC and height into consideration. i Would like to go for CBZ and also my ride is limited to city limits only , no Long Drive with 100+.

When you are booking a Hero bike, please check the year of manufacture on body/paper before registration. They may sell 2012 model if they have some excess stock. (I was almost booked it. They even had removed the stickers to look like same year stock).

In one post you mentioned, only bullet electra got 4 months waiting , rest all immediate. Did you talk about other models of Royal Enfield (Thunderbird, Classic) or other brands/make ?

Thanks,

Thank you Appus i will remember your point to check the year of manufacture.
Yes Electra has waiting period of 4-5 months ,thunderbird has even more than that 5-6 months, classic 3-4 months.

GS150R,

Has better mileage compared to the Unicorn and has a similar performance to the ZMA, i.e the 125k top speed part.

If you're looking for VFM and dirt cheap spare costs then look no further P220 is the way to go.
