Need Inputs of CNG Availability on NH 4 & NH4a

Hi Guys,

I plan to drive from Mumbai to Goa, via Mumbai Bangalore Road (Nh 4) and then take the NH4a from Belguam.

1) Anyone who has gone through this road, how is the condition ?

2) Is there any availability of CNG on this route.

My dealer mentioned me that CNG is available in Pune, Kholapur City, Goa.

If someone can pls update me.

Till belgaum NH4 is good (apart from speed breaker toll booths). I had been on same route NH4A from Belgaum to Anmod-Ponda.

The road goes from Belgaum >> Khanapur >> Ramnagar >> Anmod >> Ponda >> Panjim

Belgaum to Khanapur good road
Khanapur to Ramnagar few potholes
Ramnagar to Anmod >> craters
From Anmod the road is good again.

Entire road is scenic and through jungle.

In Kolhapur you will get CNG, but you will have to go in the city. Rest till Goa, I am not quite sure regarding CNG availability.

I Just Go the info of confirmation from my Maruti Service Center, saying that a new CNG Station is opened at Kholapur its around 5 to 6 KM away from the Highway.

Will keep you guys posted and also update the availbity on the map after my drive.

Thanks for your help will surely keep you all posted so that many like me using CNG are updated.

Yes CNG is available at kolhapur, you will start seeing the CNG/LPG available boards once you near kolhapur.

Are you sure its CNG ? Many times its LPG pump and people say its CNG

Well it can be but worth giving it a shot if you are passing from there.

ok guys live update from goa now. drive from pune to belguam is superb the road nh4a is oke. Cng is not avail in kolapur or goa they call lpg cng : So guyys last cng as on 12/2/2012 isn till pune only comple update as sooon as i reach mumbai.

Okie i am finally back from my trip ... to be frank it was fantastic TRIP.

I will try and put a complete review of my SX4 CNG (Green) in somedays.

Well now on the CNG.

1) No CNG Stations after you leave Pune.

2) No CNG in Kholapur City.

3) No CNG in goa anywhere.

So guys you will have to basically drive the same on petrol only only only.

I have heard that CNG pumps are now available at Kolhapur.

I am not able to verify, i am going to Kolhapur on Sunday, will try and confirm.
