Need Advice on CNG Conversion: Pros and Cons

Performane review: covered 4K after CNG installation and was getting around 23 KM/Kg in Delhi. Travelled to my home station during Diwali. Gas filled was 9KG in empty cylinder and then 4 KG topup at Delhi border. Total distance covered is 370 Kms all on gas. I was estinished and was also getting feeling that might be some issue with settings, but it was wondrful returnon my investment as I clocked 28.5 km/kg on 1500 cc.

For etios it’s a wonderful mileage , I have cloked 40 k on my zen with cng fitted, I am currently getting a mileage of 35 km/ kg on highway really a VFM with certain compromises

Few days back again filled completely empty cyl and it took 10.5

I think your cylinder capacity is 14 kgs

most probably,
either cylinder is more than 65 litres ,or
the pump is overcharging.

I had my Baleno Installed with CNG - Tomaseto Kit in 2011 @ 22,000 in Noida. Since then had driven about 60,000 Kms.

Bad:
1. Low Pick Up & Acceleration is always an issue .
2. Had to change the Spark Plugs (OEM) to NGT one's
3. Strange Putting sound ( Sometimes )
4. Took 50% of Boot space :(
5. Some issue with clutch ( Not Sure if that's due to CNG)

Good:
1. No effect on Engine Yet
2. Good Mileage - 17 - City 19/20 Highway.
3. Saved Lots on Fuel since then. More relaxed during those Jams in Evening, while burning CNG Instead of Petrol !!!

Agreed, Even in My Baleno, I get around 10 Kg's of CNG !

If Its sequential then get it Check because performance same as petrol

Nope Mine is not the sequential one...If I remember, in 2011, Sequential Kits were introduced and mine was fitted just before that. May be I'm wrong !
