Hello TAI's, This is my first mileage update in my thread. The first image is on the day of round trip with 250+ km on each side. It is 95% highways and 5% city with AC on all the time. In the total 500+ km, 200km is very good four way lane. Average speed around 90km/h

The second is an intermediate mileage report on my 270km trip in which approx. 100km is without AC at around 70km/h on medium roads

Congrats anand for achieving the great mileage for the mileage hungry nation. We can pull the good mileage out of Honda City if we drive sedately at the highways. I too get same mileage in my city. But I never tried out without AC.

You should know that it's not the accurate mileage. And i think deviation at that mileage would be more if you compare it with tankful method.

Ps : i refuel my petrol verna on a highway (automatically resets the mileage figures) and for the first 150 kms it showed 19 kmpl. Don't really think i got that much.

Absolutely agreed, I use same method too for Honda City 2011. It is a known fact the Honda City's MID has an error of about 10-15%. Many owners I have met at ASC who have complained same thing. The ASC personnel gave a lame explanation that on slopes due to increase in flow, the kilometers and average will increase. See my Petrol City Ivtec shows average of 13 in city roads so I assume it to be 12 km/l

Based on my experience on Honda City i-Dtec(I own it), the MID accuracy is +/- 0.3 to 0.5 KMPL w.r.t Tank full method. I did this comparison for most of my long travels & City commute (for some time). So I vouch for the Mileage of 26.5KMPL.

I hope 30KMPL also possible without AC, favoring road conditions, cruise control and running in 70KMPH with 6 gear option. The second pic was taken during running. You can see instant mileage dial crossing 30KMPL and some times it reaches to 40KMPL too.

Yes I too know it's not accurate, it may be considered as theoritical. Once when I checked through full to full it got a deviation of 0.5, so for me the error will be 0.5 to 1 depending on how high MID displaying. Even if we consider 28 or 29 km/l it's great for me.
