What you have heard is absolutely correct.
However this was my first visit to shirdi but before going there I thought that it will be still like a village as we see in TV serials, Pictures etc.
But when I reached there, The scene was totally different.
Shirdi is just like any other city now, There are so many vehicles polluting environment, Buildings etc.

Even the khandoba's temple which was on height (like we see in pictures) has came down to the road level.
Really, Everything is changed, The place has lost the originality.
