My Trip To Ooty(Tamil Nadu)

Hello everyone,
This is my travelogue to a beautiful destination to Ooty (Tamil Nadu).
On my Scorpio mHawk.
This was covered on October the previous year.

ROUTE via Mysore-Nanjangudu-Begur-Gundlupet-Bandipur-Masinagudi-Madumalai-Ooty-Coonor.

It was dusserha holidays, So I was waiting for a long drive.

Day 1:First day we went to Mysore, Visited palace and exhibition.

As the whole mysore was busy with dusserha,There was traffic everywhere.

Halted in our relatives house.
Thought of visiting ooty.

Day 2:Started at 8 am from Mysore, Followed the above route.

Reached ooty at 12.30 pm.

Road though the stretch of Gundlupet was very bad.

The road conditions were good from Bandipur.

There were 9 members on board.

Stopped for lunch in a nice Restaurant.

Visited all the places Rose Garden, Then Boating ,Tea Estate etc.

Then headed for Coonor.

Coonor has superb Tea estates.

Then visited the Madras Regiment centre in Coonor.

While coming from Coonor has a beautiful view point.

I've been to Ooty and it's one of a beautiful place in country, a worth visit must say. We bought some different flavored tea packs and chocolates from there. Nice pics mukesh, Do share if you have some more and Yes, Also of Mysoore Palace!

Yeah Ooty is a worthy place to visit and Mysore too! I have been to both the places for more than once as its not very far away from Chennai!

And great pictures Mukesh , i was about to post that upload the picture of the palace in the night as it looks beautiful and you have done just that!

The time i saw your topic, i thought you were going to share some unpleasant experience. Because that's the way it is now. Summer holiday + heat + flower show has crowded Ooty like never before. There's chain of car everywhere. Even they made the two routes from Coimbatore as One way(Conoor for going up and kothagiri for coming back) during the weekend.
Anyway its good that you had good time, as it was October. 9 on a Scorpio? was that comfortable especially on mountain roads?

Mukesh, These are the pics I was asking for, Thank you for posting. The crowd seems to be a lot, I went there during daytime so it wasn’t crowded like that but one thing is for sure that Mysoore Palace’s real beauty speaks only at night.

Yes buddy all the other members were adjusting.
As i am the driver no problem for me.
I could judge my Scorpio well on these hilly regions.
The turbo is a real boon in such conditions, There was never a drop of power during these conditons with nine onboard.
While goin to Ooty i took the short route via Madumalai and all those 36 hairpin drive.
I loved that part of driving very much.

The crowd was more, As it was the last day the closing ceremony of Dushhera was done by CM of Karnataka.
And the whole mysore was busy with traffic jam and events.
This made me think of Ooty.
