I took it on an open and wide stretch of road yesterday. Enjoyed my drive. Revved up the engine and it was very responsive. I still feel, the horn is a bit of an issue. Actually when the windows were down , the horn was quite audible but with the windows closed and AC/music (slow) on , it is weakly audible. I am not sure if its because of the insulation or what.

Also I met my friend who took a test drive and he was mighty impressed with the features. Especially the comfort for the rear passenger. He is planning to book it in August.
So far so good.[clap][:D]

I inquired about the mud flaps and the dealer said that they would come in 2-3 days.He would fix it then.

Nice little start to the ownership review, congratulations and wish you many a safe miles.
That steering wheel cover is Schwarzeneggerish![:D]
Thanks. They provided the leather cover and what you see on the sides is the grip I got it from dubai. I was finding the steering quite small and bit lighter but with the added grip kinds of gives you a bulky feeling , confidence and comfort.[:)]

Do not worry about the horn. If its lesser audible inside when AC is on, outside people will hear it same. Purpose of horn is to alert pedestrians and other vehicles.

Congrats Motorlover on your new acquisition. The Hyundai Xcent surely is an extremely VFM preposition and being an early owner for a recently launched vehicle I'm sure you'll be getting tons of attention from various on-lookers on our roads as well. Savor it. Looking forward to regular updates on the thread regarding the car's overall performance. Congrats once again & Happy Motoring.

How is the AC cooling of Xcent? specially on a hot sunny day [thinking]Does it have the same AC compressor as the Grand or Hyundai has equipped Xcent with diffrent (bigger cc) compressor.

Cooling is reasonably ok. This is in fact the right time to test the AC here in Goa. I am happy with its cooling. I also own a wagon R which hardly cools.I prefer Xcent over wagon R any time as far as AC is concerned.Am not sure about the AC compressor
