Got my indicator changed after that accident. Costed me 1350 +100 Labour. Also enquired about grill and there seems to be such a thing for Scorpio. Need to check in JC rd this week end.
Any one has seen or heard of such grill? I have infact never seen it.

the indicators are generally not that fragile to be break.

they will break if somebody bangs in their bike on them.

i had a close shave of that kind when the handle of the bike had brushed on the indicator lights.

nothing had happened on them.

other than that grill or not. if the impact is great , those indicator will break.

better install a rear bumper guard.
that would discourage few bikers.

just my 2 cents.

Thanks Super. I m sure will have a bumper also installed after checking the grill. I am not sure about Mumbai but Bang Bikers are little less patience when it comes to driving.
They want to squeeze in which ever gap they find Left/right does not matter.
Its getting very scary to drive on the rds with Bikes behind these days.
Thanks again for your suggestions.

it is the same everywhere. all bikers think, they are driving a bicycle with no consequence, when their bikes happen to bang on a car or taxi.

when we had a TD of XUV and storme, we saw an incident in front of our eyes when a biker had banged in on an indica and he literally fled from the scene , taking extreme left on the road, through smallest of the gaps available and just sped past the indica owner, little for the owner to realise the culprit.

Been to Tirupati trip this weekend. Clocking 9.5 K overall by my Scorp.
Vehicle behaved very well on straight and on Ghat rds. A wonderful and satisfactory drive I would say overall.

Iron/Mukesh, A similar question but a different gear. I am finding it hard to engage reverse some time. I some times have to end up engaging first, move a inch and then engage reverse. Is this also normal?
And while engaging 3rd, It feels like i did not press clutch full. But indeed I do press. Anything I will look or worry about?
Sorry to hijack your thread But I have read few of these issues even in XUV in few other auto forums.
Buddy i think there is air in the hydraulics so pump the clutch if you face difficulties in engaging reverse gear.
After giving my hawk to service at Chrome Motors gears are butter smooth, even during cold starts.
Gear shifts smoothly.
So when there is resistance of gear while shifting just press the clutch twice, it will easily allow you to slot the gear.
Sorry for OT - since Scorpy has a slanting gear stick, sometimes it is difficult to slot gears correctly.

For reverse gear, depress the clutch fully and bring the stick quickly to the right (at a shorter distance than to extreme right) and pull back. It will take 2 or 3 times to practise, but eventually you will get it right.

What I have learnt is, if you guide the stick to a gear's position after fully depressing the clutch, it goes smoothly. Don't force it, just push it.
Yes just guiding the gear into the slot, just eases the shifting.

Mukesh- Thank you. Will try this today. By the way, in regards to Chrome motors, Do they do pickup drop service for the scorpio?
I stay in Sanjay Nagar and this service station is very far off. Also, IG donot do any pickup/drop and so i need to end up working from home or take leave for 2 days to get the service done.
IG never deliver my car back on same day. Can you share number for chrome plz and any contact person you know.

All dealers have pick up and drop facility. They just don't do it for all customers. Just stress it to the Service Manager or Customer Care Manager or General Manager of the service centre. They will do it for you but mostly in your own car [lol]

They might also use your car for drop/pickup of another customer. [surprise]

Once I noticed that my car was used like that by IG and I blasted them to hell and reported to Mahindra Regional Manager.

I think Chrome Anepalya and Anant BG are ok in this respect. Don't know about Sireesh.

I was looking for Chrome for service after checking your thread. But again You guys say its not good to let your hwak go alone for service.
I have just booked a service with chrome pickup/drop. Is it risky? [cry]
I don't have time to take it by self and so want a reliable SC who can take care of my vehicle.
Mukesh as you are a regular to this SC, please share your inputs.

I think you misunderstood my post.
What i mentioned was i don't drop my vehicle and return.

Instead stay at the dealership and monitoring my vehicle in self interest.

No need to feel they are risky.

I have Pm'ed you SA Kiran's number, he is a great chap.

Mukesh, thank you for this information and Also for the Tip about reverse gear engagement issue.
I have followed your steps and yes there seems to be a air issue. I pressed and released the clutch when i had issues engaging gear and it worked like a charm!!. Thank you Scorp guru :)

Eek !!! i am no guru[glasses].

I am just another member as usual, great to know that it worked.

Just give a buzz to SA Kiran, before giving your vehicle.

He will take care of all those things.

And yes do keep your thread updated, with pics.

Just now sent my hawk to service to chrome (pickup/drop).
They came about 2 hrs late as promised so hopping to get the vehicle today late evening or tomorrow morning.
Will call Kiran and inform him about issues. As of now, everyone seems to be very helpful Even the driver who picked it was all smiling and checked any dents/scratch etc as i suspected.
Hope my experience is good with them that includes bill.
I am unable to update the snaps as my Org does not have USB facility on my laptop. Will try update from home from my wife's Laptop once back from service.
