Hey Karthickramu congratulations for your Aria , welcome to the Aria family! This is the first time am seeing Aria in this color and its looking good!

About the whining sound you mentioned yes even i face it and even i don't know the reason for it. I read the entire manual but couldn't find any reason , din't bother asking at A.S.S , i am sure they will give all non-sense answers!

And about the braking in Aria , your i10 i guess is the non ABS version right? NON ABS versions always have more bite in their braking. Braking is absolutely good and normal in Aria , no need to worry.

Hi Karthickramu,

Many congratulations for your new possession.

Just want to enquire about the regular Fuel Efficiency in city driving and also on outside city driving. As iam also planning for a new car maybe New Safari or Aria (4x2).
Thanks in advance.

@ Tornado You can expect around 9-10kmpl in bumper to bumper city traffic. Highways it depends , if driven sanely you can get 16+kmpl.

Great thorough review and experience there! Many congratulations on getting one of the good looking crossovers. Aria does feel like a car when you drive it, with ample amount of space inside.

@thetraveller,am no expert to get deeper on technical terms mate but just tried to pen down literally whatever i felt about the car and after buying it.it is true ,it gives car like feel and i tend to drive faster but then i remember 'no man, this car is hude, slow'.last time i drove and had to drive my i10 immediately-it was just like toy car n i found difficult with the brakes n steering as they were so easy

So dear karthick more than 2 months and still no updates, there is a lot of negative publicity going on against Aria at the moment in some forums, please update your experience. Thanks in advance.

I had a small chat with him on phone few weeks back. He said he faced some problem in his brakes and TATA has agreed to change it under warranty. I don't know about the issue , i hope he updates the thread.

Congrats KarthickRamu!

I didn't know there was another Aria owner in the forum, that too from Chennai.

How is it to drive in Chennai's traffic? Does it need frequent gear changes?

One thing good about TATA is that they are never fussy about warranty. Though the brakes are a wear & tear item & not covered in warranty, TATA still replaced it for Karthick.

Its a different story altogether that why did the brakes have an issue in the first place... that we will know only when Karthick updates this thread.

@ Bala There are 4 Aria owners on board. One from Delhi , one from KL and two from Chennai. But only me and Karthick have put up ownership reviews , rest still pending.

sorry loads guys, been visiting the thread but since I did not any posts i used to log out and then been busy with my business things, anyway @xovy even I have gone through negative issues of aria and also saw a case somewhere in north where the car was replaced with a new one but for my aria i faced the following issues:

1.The car had left pulling complaint and I put forward at my 1st service but not rectified so I dropped in again the next day,it was not rectified so I took to tyre point where TATA itself do their alignment and gave it an wheel alignment, the technician told me no previous alignment was done and may be they would have hesitated to touch the system as it had 4wd.The service centre does the alignment outside and I took my car to a different tyre point centre. Its fine now!

2.When i drive past 80 and brake, the steering vibrates and vobbles so I gave the complaint thats when they changed the front discs both.I should appreciate the service centre coz the car was returned in a days time.
Apart from these I did not find any major issues or drawback with Aria.I love the drive and its so easy to drive in city traffic but only thing should always keep to the right lane as when you move to the left lane bikers love to come and give some scratches or hit the side view mirror. So for I have not let any1 do that but I have noticed they tend to loose balance and use my car as a support as it tall enough for them, how mean!.I have been in to narrow streets, heavy traffic and free lanes and at all times i have not experienced any difficulty but one thing for sure, over confidence and over speed in city limits would not help though am happy with its brakes and stability.Whenever I over speed my mind tells me-this is not your i10,simple.

I have custom fit seat covers now, beige colour but not pure leather and it gives a very good look. Then had fit garware film on to it before which i gave to 3m showroom and they suggested rs series.I was specific that it should not be glossy or reflect and the sales rep told me it wont and when it was finished, the look was light green reflective series and when I asked another sales rep told RS stands for reflective series and I questioned why this was not explained yesterday and I immediately asked them to remove it and paid half the bill and when they removed nice scratches have been made here and there on my rear door glass and metal arches.I showed the scratches on metal arches to 3m and told they have to bear the touch up charges.

when i purchased aria i was aware with all its negative talks going on but for what it offered on space, techs etc for the money am happy with what I can afford.I cant compromise myself to go somewhere below Aria's price and purchase some car and later complaint its not big enough nor I wanted to go higher the price of Aria and get an endy or fortuner and still complaint lack of techs.Aria is good but cannot be the best and for its price range and what it offers its the bestest.Though I had some fear of owning aria after the experience with TATA CONCORDE motors, ambattur,I am happy.I have also complained about the disc brakes and questioned how a new car can face this problem though it was changed to the sales centre at velachery and I was told to visit the service centre again and meet the service manager and give him a TD,which I have not done since pongal as viral fever was in deep love with me and we just broke up

one thing for sure, sitting inside on the drivers point on aria, feels so proud when every head turn and some heads peek out of their car windows.
