@Srid

What is the OTR of your new beemer and for how much you sold your X1. Again just a curiosity question " Kitna Deti Hai "[:)]
The OTR in Mumbai is about 48.05+32K for the secure. I managed some discount. I got about 24L for my X1. As of now the car comp shows as FE of 8.4kmpl

Nice color choice as well, your Beamer is looking HOT in red.

Wow that 3 is looking super hot in red. Loved those alloy design. Congrats srid68 on getting a gorgeous new ride. You seem to be a crazy BMW loyal. I am sure they must have sweeten the deal for you seeing the amount of loyalty and passion in you.
But curiosity sake asking, why didn't you consider the Merc's and the Audi's this time?

Look at the attached pictures. The first one shows the front seat in normal position and the second one shows it in extended position. This feature is very useful for tall persons espcially on long drives as it gives additional thigh-knee support. The rear leg room has visibly improved. This was confirmed by two of my friends who are over 6 feet tall and were sitting very comfortably in the back seat. The centre hump, however, remains a bit of a problem for the 5th person. It is OK for kids but adults may not find it comfortable on long drives.

I am posting some pictures taken by the dealer during delivery. The unvieling process was unique (first time) for me and wife.
Today the car comp FE figures were showing 9kmpl! This is better than my Petrol 1.2L Polo which shows about 7.8 to 8 kmpl on the car comp

Hey Srid Congrats for the car.

You said your polo 1.2 gives 7 to 8kmpl. I too own one, but never got figures below 11kmpl on the ODO for a decent trip. Could you find out the reason of such low FE?

Most of the times it is driven by my driver. Moerover, it is driven within 2-3 km radius of my home so start-stop is very high especially with signals. When I drive it to office, I get an FE of about 11, however, that is a rare scenario as I do not allow my driver to handle the Beemer much. Nothing wrong with thecar but more to do the way it is driven

Congrats! This is the exact same model and colour which was shown to me prior launch. I am also thinking of picking up the 320d Sportsline in the same colour.

Its highly unlikely that 2-3 kms would show high FE on the MID. It goes on increasing as you cover more miles. So I just wanted to know the reason behind low FE. Thanks for letting me know.

Enjoy your BMW. Please post some better pics of the red beauty.

As one member previously asked, Why did not you consider an Audi, Merc or the likes after owning two BMWs in a row?

Your Beemer looks awesome. You have bought a stunning Beemer, which has 245BHP petrol engine which will do mind blowing speeds and has excellent ride and handling dynamics. Instead speaking about all those special attributes of your beemer the topic has come to always asked question "FE" [;)].

Comeon dude tel us about your car's handling abilities and acceleration? How are those run flat tires? Are they practical for indian conditions? Have you tried going pasts 150Km/hr? How does your beemer behave to low quality roads? Does it have enough GC for those special speed breakers?

Regards,
Sankar
