My New Maruti Wagon-R Duo - A Review

Hai TAI friends,

Recently i brought my New Wagan R Duo , i want to share some of the good and bad things about this vechicle.

About Look

The colour in brought is Fire brick red, and the exterior look is amazing . its looks like mini SUV.

About Interior

the interior looks decent but lack the finish of the quality of the materails. Log room is spaces, rear boot is little not bad. AC is powerfull . the tall headroom is superb.

seat position and view is little bit uncomfortable.

About Engine performance.

Engine power ok with lesser people if crowded lacks power with AC.
i have checked the mileage in the Highway and also in city. it gives 16 in Highway and 14 in city. Engine is sluggish in low RPM and if the RPM increase the pick speed is improved.

inquired with the dealer about the consumption , he said it will improve further after 1st service.

Road safety & drivability

Road grip is nice with low speed, drived about max 120kmph and speed controlling is good if applied brakes.while driving Max speed i am feeling like bumpy.

ICE

looking for HU and speakers to be fixed.

people can suggest me for to finding good music system .

1. my Fav brand and its config is

1. Kenwwod Mp3 player 2 din
2. Blaupuint
3. Alpine
4. Poineer
5. JVC
6. Sony ( not interested much bcoze of more complaints )

speakers i would like to go with JBL

Comp is Sony / poineer

fog light to be fixed.

selvan nice review, duo means LPG right ? Tell us more about LPG performance.

Yea

its starts with petrol and switch over to LPG. i am feeling great bcoze my old maruti 800 has converted to LPG which gives bad odor inside. but in wagan r duo there is no smell of LPG inside.

mileage is perfect as given by manufacturer

Yesterday I have get fixed the Music system with following configurations.

1. HU - JVC make - 2 din Mp3 payer.
2. Comp - Sony Make
3. Front Speakers - Sony 6 " 2 way coaxial
4. Rear speakers - Sony - 6" - 2 way coaxial with woofor
5. Tweeter - Sony

I feel the music with great comfort as i wished. i also find the technician is very professorial and done really neat work. Agency Name is Hi-tech auto zone - pondy they have sugessted for JBL of 400 w at rear. since i have to fix the speakers in the door panel i preferred 300 w of sony is ok with the budget keeping in mind.

it cost me around Rs. 16.5 K for fixing the same.

i asked for the Fog lights but due to non stock i have not fixed.

i pay my sincere thanks to my TAI members for getting wide knowledge about the accessories and the market , like bargains, technical etc. i proudly say that TAI is a ready reckon for all the new car buyers like me to get utilized the features for conclusion.

i will update with the photos shortly.

Nice setup Selvan. Your Waggy is looking great in red. However i didnt like those old style wheel caps which are giving an outdated look to the car.
