Installed alpine 9835.
yet to tune , my electrician tuned for 45 min and claimed he did his best !!
Just now got the manual in net! reading them . hope it takes about a day and some 3 to 4 lit of petrol to tune it

Tuning in sense of sound means adjusting headunit and even the amp.

And this head unit makes one mad , Gosh hell lot of complications

yep amit , in pune you can get lancer and modify them , almost price is same . we did so many research before buying a car. rates are almost same.

Mind says keep the lancer !

heart say , sell off and try suv/muv this time like armada , bolero , mm540 , marshal . etc.
and finish off the leh trip asap (no no i agree its too early to do this trips!)

yeah a diesel contessa !!!! rear wheel drive , can quench my thirst of drifting!


i badly need a diesel this time.
roaring petrol price , tames me to be soft in accelerator. what is the use to own a petrol car , esp the lancer without driving in a pedal to metal way?


left confused with mind /heart and hmm other voices! my lancer is almost idle for almost 90% of a month. just polishing and waxing a idle car


after a lot of confusion , have just planned this!

love the lancer very much , its amazing handling compared to other cars that i owned and driven .
so

Get a diesel lancer for less than 1L
agreed for a one lakh , what i get is abused lancer.
let it have N number of owners.
the thing is it must have clear papers and diesel engine.

transfer all things like dash board , seat , skirts , bumper from this car to that.
over haul the engine of diesel if its in bad shape!
sell of this petrol car.!
paint the diesel one too!!

to save painting in diesel one , my mech suggested this

swap the engines.
swap the chassis number part , cut and weld.
swap the number plates .

sell of the car that is acquired with petrol engine and petrol paper (obvious)
drive this diesel car happily.
make the pending trips!!

hope my idea work out!

Not bad, but all these efforts, money, time, just for a Diesel that too another Lancer again? Unless you are very keen on getting a Lancer, try out for some other classy cars in that much budget. I like the initial idea of getting an SUV like Armada (An average run model approx.60k Kms / Year 2000 can be easily acquired in this budget). Else, stretch a bit and get an Octy.

But ilango why don't you go for LPG rather than spending more .if you want the lancer or else go for an suv.
