Side chrome beading is an aftermarket one. Trying to restore it back to original condition , got most parts with me except front ambassador badge can't seem to find it anywhere scrapguys have it but wanting a princely sum for it

Btw the grille isn't original in the mark 4 , its from a Nova . The original should be like that attached in the picture
Even the indicators in your car are not of Mark4.

The parking lights used to be square type and indicators below the bumper in fender area.

I know , like I said I'm trying to restore it back to original condition. Have the indicators at home with me, will fix them when the car goes for body work. And Got the front badge yesterday for a mere 50 bucks !! :cool:

gagodwin do you get all the parts of the mark 2 like the wipers ,grill ,indicator lights ,aluminium beading of wind shield glass, bumpers , can you share your experiences with us as i too have a mark 2 , had difficult time procuring parts that too good one. well some of them i got it from pollachi scrap yard.
YES, YOU CAN GET indicator lights, aluminium beeding,bumpers and even grill too.But the prices may be high.
for me I have this in my vehicle.

Restoration of my amby 1979 model

hello friends

This thiru from kanchipuram i bought my amby two years back till now its running quiet well but amby always love to rust so me planning for restoration so guide me what type of materials like paint,spareparts etc to be use for restoration of my amby[:D]
