Hello Bikers,

We all reached the showroom and to my surprise Dad, Mom and Sis were waiting there expecting my arrival. Dad smiled at me and gave a box, I was pretty sure what that is but I continued to open. I was correct; it was the key to unlock my birdie!!!! I hugged Mom, Dad and Sis together and I had the next surprise. Sales Rep informed me that my dad had already paid the entire amount in cash and the bike is all mine. I was totally lost, Eyes flooded with tears [out of excitement] and with a big smile on face I finally rode her back home...

Yes, she is my pride possession till date and forever - ROYAL ENFIELD THUNDERBIRD TWIN SPARK. We are living happily together.

I wished to be a teenager once again to cherish such moment, now I can afford any bike but the first and 2nd bike gifted by dad was special moment and his energy level to find out different options for me. I went home after my first job and just told dad that I do not enjoy my existing bike any more and it does not have disc brake and also the appeal.He told me , wait for some more months as your bike is only 3 year old. I made a puppy face and he melted and next day he deposited 75K in my account and asked me to get it by full cash as soon as I reach Bangalore, even I was eligible to get 50K interest free loan from Infosys. Parents are the best friends.

Very true! Parents are the best anyday specially the bonding you develop with your father after the age of 20+ is most cherishable. Fathers who refused lot of things for their Son will try and get the best for them when they are grown up! It is a mixed felling and great!
